I stayed here with friends recently and had none of the problems experienced by the previous reviewer. We stayed at Liliova 7 on the first floor. It has 3 bedrooms but one is pretty small as the bed fits from wall to wall. Otherwise the apartment is magnificent - lovely big lounge room, high ceilings, kitchen good (limited utensils and pots but we never used them anyway - restaurants are so cheap in Prague). The master bedroom was magnificent with a balcony overlooking the neighborhood. My only negative comment was the apartment only had one toilet (there are 7 beds in this apartment). Apartment 7 is perfect for 2 couples.

Good value compared with similar places we have stayed in Berlin and Vienna.

Make sure you spoil yourself and book a table at the Michelllin recommended restuarant downstairs - a fantastic dining experience.

Location is unbeatable

My parents and I booked this room based on other reviews. This hotel is in a great location and it was very easy to get to the sights of Prague from here.

Despite the multitude of reviews praising the cleanliness, one day I given a sheet that was stained with who knows what. Almost all of towels we were given had holes in them. The internet was patchy and went down for periods of time. The bathroom had a shower head but nowhere to place it, so that you had to hold it the entire time and it did not work if lifted above shoulder level. The bathtub had no shower curtain or way to block it from the rest of the room so between that and holding the shower head the bathroom ended up very wet. I could hear guests in other rooms every night and smoke came into our room through the ventilation system.

I stayed in Room 14 (1st floor, front) for 7 nights from 11th April 2012, with my wife. The hotel's own transfer service collected us from the airport & returned us at the end of our week's stay; it is well worth using their own, very efficient service.

The hotel's location is absolutely superb for tourists; very close to the major attractions yet in a quiet (now pedestrianised) cobbled side street. The reception staff are excellent & all speak English too. Our room was a bit smaller than expected (about 17 square metres) but appears to have been completely renovated in the last couple of years. The very high quality bathroom was a very pleasant surprise though (can I have one like that at home please?) :0) The room was very clean & attended to daily by the chambermaid. Furniture was plain but functional, with timber framed beds and very comfortable memory foam mattresses. Do take care not to bruise your feet & legs though, as space between the desk/chair & beds is restricted.

An LCD television was provided, but only Czech language channels were available. A fridge was in the room, plus a safe. The window was TRIPLE glazed (outer double-glazing, plus a third pane on the inside); the heating worked very well & air conditioning was provided (though seemingly switched off for the winter). Hotels in Prague do not generally provide tea & coffee making facilities in guest rooms & The Liliova is no exception. There are numerous restaurants nearby though (The nearby TGI Fridays serves food until midnight) and refrigerated drinks can be bought from the hotel reception area.

We were very well attended to at breakfast on our first morning by a very helpful man, in contrast to the attitude of the female staff member on subsequent days of "everything is too much trouble"; she made us feel unwelcome. The breakfast food was adequate, though I would have liked a better range of cereals to choose from.

CONCLUSION: An excellent hotel for the price, especially taking account of its location. The breakfast service though, does need some attention from management; it is the only thing that lets the hotel down.

Aside from sharing an entrance with a strip club, I really like this place. It's well priced, and has everything you'd expect. It's also located at a great place for seeing the Praha 1 area.

Room Tip: ask for a room that has a conventional shower, not one where you have to hold the nozzle yourself.

Traveling with my 2 daughters for 3 nights I wanted a room with three beds and a good Old town location. This fit the bill perfectly. Great to have the complimentary Breakfast as well. Our room on the 3rd floor had great rooftop view of Prague. Staff were friendly and recommended good Restaurant/bars. Only downsides which did not affect us are the elevator being in an old building is on the half floors, so to use it you need to go up and down half a flight. Also the entrance is shared with a Table dance club, but it didn't seem to open until after 9, we never heard a sound and from the one or 2 small groups of sober businessmen, we never saw anyone entering or leaving.

We have just returned from a long weekend in Prague, our first visit to the city, and we loved it. Your hotel is often the first impression you get about the city and it's people and the hotel liliova did not disappoint.
Situated on a very quiet street we were a bit worried when we seen the sign for a table dance club which shares an entrance lane (do not let that deter you please. We were here for 3 nights and saw no-one and heard nothing from the club) We were met by a more than helpful receptionist who was more than happy to assist us and answer questions.
The hotel itself was immaculate and we had a very spacious, clean room with very comfortable beds. We were also given a discount card to use inthe restaurant on the ground floor where breakfasts would be served. We dropped our luggage off in the room and headed for some lunch and were pleased to be met with such lovely friendly staff and an extensive international menu.
Really did make an excellent impression on us this hotel.
LOCATION
Ideally situated in the old town. Walk around the corner and you are at Charles Bridge, walk round the opposite corner and you have a straight 3 min walk to the astronomical clock and the old town square. About 10-15 minute walk to Jewish quarter. Couldn't have asked for more!
2 doors down from the hotel there is a TGI Fridays. Hagan Daz shop round the corner as well as a mini market.
All in loved Prague, it's very welcoming people and this hotel was a real find. Thank you to all staff at the hotel liliova for making our stay so stress free!
