We first visited here in August 2013 when Prague City was much busier & the weather warmer & sat outdoors, we just had to return again yesterday, although obviously sat indoors at this time of year. Staff are very courteous & professional with prompt service, though not hurrying anyone in order to get more 'bums on seats'! What was particularly nice was that the staff advise you whether they believe certain portions would be sufficient for the number of guests dining, also reminding you as to the type & strength of the ingredients (just in case you're a novice curry eater). I have visited numerous 'Indian' restaurants during my time but the Indian Jewel just has to be the best, the menu is not as varied as most restaurants in the UK but the choice is sufficient. We had Chicken Pakora's as a starter and the meat with the main course was beautifully tender with, as one expects, no horrible fat or chewy pieces. I had lamb Jalfrezy & lamb meat in the Czech Republic although not unknown, is something of a rareity. The Indian Jewel is located in a corner of the Tyn Courtyard, which is at the back of the Church of Our Lady before Tyn on the Old Town Square. You just have to try it !!!

We had a fabulous dinner at the Indian Jewel. After filling ourselves with hearty Bavarian food much of the trip, it was refreshingly nice to enjoy some spicy and delicious Indian food. The meal was absolutely delicious and the service was good too. It was a hidden gem, near the heart of everything, but somewhat off the beaten path. This is the place to go if you're desiring some spice, while visiting Prague. Was our best meal in Prague.

Indian Jewel gave us a beautiful experience on a torturously hot day. We couldn't stand the idea of cooking at home on this 40+ day (100+ in non-metric:). India jewel created an experience outside, even in the crazy heat, that made us smile. It was as if we had stepped through a window and entered India, with service that felt as if the owner was serving us in his home and the atmosphere that helped us forget the weather:). The food was excellent and we highly recommend you experience it yourself, the next time you are in Prague and in the mood for a true "India" experience:).

Good menu comprising of all the dishes you would expect done very well. Rogan josh rich full of flavour, dal makhni very good. The staff seemed to take pride in their food and we're genuinely pleased we enjoyed our meal. Only reason for four not five stars, our table was a little cramped and were sat very close to adjacent diners.
