“Modern Art in Prague --- world class & on the cutting edge”

DOX is probably one of the most significant and important private contemprary art center's in Central and Eastern Europe. This is a must see for anyone interested in the Arts.

Their exhibition of David Cerny's wonderful and controversial sculpture "Entropa" is a true coup. Don't miss seeing this piece.

Lastly, the gift shop is also something that you don't see often in any CEE museum's normally. The selection of wonderful and unique gifts in all ranges, brings a piece of the museum and what it stands for, available and ready to share with everyone.

“Beautiful space with spirit and vision”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 8, 2009

Converted metal-plant in former industrial, now more and more popular neighbourhood just few minutes outside the city center. The architecture is monumental yet humble at the same time, it just takes my breath away. Especially love the terrace and its overall simplicity. This work of respected Czech architect Ivan Kroupa was nominated for Mies van der Rohe award and appears also in the latest issue of Phaidon atlas. Housing "tailored" Douglas Gordon retrospective and the controversial Entropa right now, definitely a must for all from Prague and abroad.

“Modern Art Hits Prague”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2009

It's not in the center of Prague, but it's definitely worth the trip out to Holesovice. DOX is Prague's first real modern art museum. It has a mini-Tate like feel to it, but with it's own unique personality. There's really nothing else like it in Prague. The building is spectacular as a gallery showcase.

Just saw the controversial Entropa there. I think it's showing until late 2009. There was also a very good Douglas Gordon exhibit and something called 14S.
