“Very good hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

We liked it very much. Good room, good little swimming pool, good location in the town, good team, good executive lounge with open bar and snacks for executive rooms.

Unfortunately, something was very bad : central heating and continental quilt on the bed. Central heating was either really too hot either freezing (and it was snowing outside). The technician came, but it was not better, we could not have the right heating. And the continental quilt was much too warm for me (750g). I had another one but it was nearly as warm as the first one (650g). It was not possible to have less warm, so I had very bad nights.

Room Tip: Choose executive rooms or suite : free access to the swimming pool and sauna, and executive lounge w...

This was a wonderful hotel stay. It came as part of a City Break package, booked through our local newspaper, so we weren't sure what to expect. But what a superb hotel, in an excellent location, just 2 mins walk from the Old Town Square.

Beautiful rooms, one of the best bathrooms we've yet seen in a hotel, including top quality toiletries, readily replenished, luxurious public areas, and, in the deep Prague snow, wonderfully warm even on the outside covered verandah!

We ate most of our meals in the hotel as the food was of such high quality, beautifully presented, and good value. Service throughout the hotel was superb. And when I mentioned it was my husband's birthday during the trip, an exquisite little birthday cake and bottle of champagne appeared in our room on the day!

Because the hotel is an historically significant building, the basement Spa cannot be extended, so it is relatively small. However, it is beautiful, luxurious and spotless. A wave-resistance button in the small pool renders its size immaterial, and there are waterfall and massage jets, and 'rain' features to add interest. Ingenious lighting behind glass panels showcases some of the medieval foundations, which is a nice touch. And the relaxation area is pure bliss!

We really didn't want to leave!

This hotel is a very wonderful experience in it self, cannot fault anything about this place, or perhaps maybe the spa area it is very small, but all there.Got the most fantastic deal for this hotel from lowcost holidays. Would also book the executive rooms as you get a private lounge to use with drinks and nibs included from 8am-8pm,pus computer printer etc, also your own tour consultant on hand to book tours, shows, restaurants, anything you require all part of the service. As for the breakfast anything your heart desires they cater for every palate enough to set you up for the day, eggs florentine/ benedict etc order from waitress and cooked to order.I would like to thank all staff for making our stay so enjoyable, and a special thanks to Katarina v for all her help with everything.

We recently spent a week in Prague and choose this hotel.
We were in a normal deluxe room and it was just perfect apart from the location of the room safe. I kept hitting my head on the door whenever the safe was opened.
All the staff were extremely professional and friendly.
The breakfast buffet had everything you could possibly want and we never had a problem getting a table.
We also made use of the spa and again it was 5 star.
The hotel location was second to none with a 10 minute walk to the old town square or wenceslas square.
There was also plenty of places to eat nearby.
I have already recommended this hotel to a couple of friends.

This is a very nice hotel in a great location. The rooms are nicely decorated, with very comfortable beds. The staff are very friendly and helpful especially in the club lounge, where there was a good selection of drinks and food available all day. The pool was very disappointing as you could fit about 4 people in there!

Room Tip: Book an executive room with club access, food and drinks all day!

Dear Londoner,

Thank you for your comments; we are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay particularly the Executive Lounge. I will ensure my colleagues will be rewarded for their job well done.

We regret if the pool wasn't up to your expectations, we however do advertise it as "cosy" to avoid any guests' disappointment.

We thank you again and we wish you all the best in the future.

My wife and I stayed here in March for four nights. The room was of a good size, bed very comfortable, bathroom more than adequate. The breakfast was worth the cost of accomodation on its own. Buffet style with a huge range of breakfast items, 'continental', British, American. And its always good to start the day with Buck's Fizz. The staff were helpful and smiling and most importantly in my view - efficient. Only minor downside was the spa payment arrangement. We were only told when we went to use it that there would be a charge, - of 10Euros. So we traipsed back up to the room, got a 10Euro note only then to be told we must pay in the Czech currency equivalent. Not a major deal and it would not stop us going back to this hotel.Location is very good, all the historical 'sites' are within walking distance as are a multitude of good restaurants.

We stayed here for four nights over Christmas. Had emailed the hotel prior to arrival to upgrade to a executive room which I can highly recommend. You get full use of the executive lounge with drinks and food/snacks replenished through the day. Also use of the Spa which we did not have time for.
On arrival we where met outside the hotel and our bags taken and then shown upto the executive lounge to check in and a welcome drink. The staff where very efficient on arrival. When we left the lounge after a few drinks our bags where in the room waiting for us. The room was of a good size, clean and overlooking Republic Square. Bathroom was really nice with a good size shower and separate bath.
Breakfast on the first morning had a good choice and we got seated quickly but it was very busy. Christmas day morning there was a large queue. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. We had eaten in the mEating place the night before (on site restaurant/breakfast room) and food was good but service seemed a bit hit and miss over the tables being served.
There is a link on The mEating point website for a gold members club card for 20% discount which we filled in and handed in at reception when we arrived to blank looks! the following day we asked about it but they said they where waiting for the F and B manager to look at it. We asked again later and had blank looks returned. Never did get it.
The hotel is in a great location, could be a bit expensive but we got it through Yeego at a great price. The upgrade to the executive room is definately worth it.
