Lovely little back street pub/restaurant in Mala Strana, very traditional and not at all touristy, you have to search it out but well worth it. Their beer is tasty and fresh from the smaller Svijany brewery which isn’t the easiest to find. No smoking which is always a bonus. The food is reasonably priced and very decent, goulash is particularly good as is the potato soup in bread bowl. Service is generally good, our waiteress didn’t speak a lot of English but the menu is translated so no problem with a bit of pointing and nodding.

This restaurant offers good food at very reasonable prices. The garlic soup is delicious to start with and the Moravian sparrow with potato dumplings is a good size portion with dense dumplings and a sauce you will want to soak up the last drop of. The server/bartender was friendly and had beer on the table within moments of ordering. As the bartender and server are usually the same guy, the service isn't super speedy, but it's a laid back restaurant with a laid back atmosphere, and the locals in there don't mind, so neither did we. If you want to avoid the tourists and the noise, seek this place out!

Do not expect luxury it is simple traditional, rather old place with great classic Chech food. Kolano is amazing there as well as beer. U need to try meat, that is what they do the best. It is cheep, kolano is 250 czk, beer 30.

While this place may have only locals in it, don't let that worry you. Not overly friendly, but better than most "locals-only" pubs. Good service and Svijansky beer. Typical Czech food. Inexpensive and good.

Directions have already been given, but this great place isnt far from the tourist hoards in Nerudova, but it is 'hidden away' and mostly frequented by Czechs.

Have been here before when busy and the service was a bit slow and short staffed. However we had a great time this time round. A lovely old restaurant/pub dining room (non-smoking) with an old concert hall attached. Service was good. Menu in English, German and Russian.

The beer is fantastic. Svijany is one of my all time favourites (try the Kvasnicove).
Good, resonably priced food. We had the vrabec (pork or beef pieces like stew) and svickova (meat in cream sauce). Lovely place to rest those weary legs.
