We stayed 21 Dec to 27 Dec and chose this hotel as they had a special on at the time for the executive room, which was good value over Christmas.

We received free wireless internet because of our room type and we could also use this internet downstairs in the lobby / bar / restaurant areas too.

Our room was located on the top floor (5th) with its own balcony overlooking some buildings and the courtyard.
The room was nice, large and spacious with a big comfy bed.
The rooms were very clean and the staff did an excellent job at keeping them so.
The bathroom was huge, with a bathtub and separate shower – great water pressure.
There were a few downsides to our room – we were given the room directly beside the elevator, it didn’t disturb our sleep but you could definitely hear it through the walls as it made a weird groaning sound.

The room and the 5th floor were way to hot! This may have been because our room seemed to be directly below one of the massive air conditioning vents located on the roof? We could see this from our balcony and you could hear this inside the room but again, not enough to disturb sleep.
We would often turn off the heat and even open the balcony door just to cool the room down!

The location of the hotel is not in the middle of Old Town or Wenceslas Square; however these can be easily reached by a short 10min tram ride.
The tram is caught from approx 200 metres from the hotel, an easy walk.
You could walk along the river into the city centre if you didn’t mind a couple of kilometres walk, once again it’s an easy walk.

On the corner of the hotel, on the way to the tram is a mini Tesco supermarket – here you can buy water, soft drinks etc for a lot cheaper than the hotel.
Behind the hotel there are some bars, and a couple of restaurants.

The front staffs are extremely helpful with directions and information about trams etc.
The lobby area is nice, never to busy when we were there and plenty of seating and tables.

The restaurant / bar is nice and the staff are very helpful and polite.
The breakfast was good, similar to other breakfast buffets of same hotel star rating – nothing wrong with it, scrambled eggs, juice, tea etc.
The a la carte dinner menu was ok, not a massive selection and expensive for what it was. The food wasn’t particularly mind blowing; nothing wrong with it, just kind of average.

The bar is joined with the restaurant and is a nice place to sit after a long day with a hot chocolate – the hot chocolate is very nice!
The drinks are priced at what you would expect in a hotel of a higher star rating, but unlike most other hotels I’ve stayed in, there were no happy hour drink specials.
We ate and drank a few times in the hotel out of laziness, but mainly ate out in surrounding or city centre restaurants.

Overall this hotel is a pleasant stay, good staff and though it is not in the centre of the city it is not any hassle getting about on trams or foot.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not near the elevator. The executive rooms on the 5th floor are nice, with great bathrooms and their own terrace.

We arranged directly with them for a airport pick up and this went well. The driver was waiting in the arrivals hall with our name on a card, he helped us with our luggage to the mercedes people carrier and was friendly and chatty. Check in was very quick and efficient with polite english speaking staff who also provided a city map which was a nice touch and handy to have in a pocket all the time.
We had the executive suite on the top floor and this was amazing value ( £120 per night including breakfast ). It is well appointed and very spacious with a large bathroom and seperate walk in shower, a reception area and a lounge with tassimo machine and large screen TV.
Despite everything looking brand new and being absolutely spotless we encountered silver fish in the bathroom. I had an email from the manager saying they had had pest control in to deal with it since we left so maybe not a problem anymore. As this room is at the back of the building we didnt hear any noise from the nearby trains and trams. Daily housekeeping spot on as were all the other staff we came in to contact with. asked reception for late check out - no problem. Can they arrange transfer back to the airport - no problem. All super friendly with a smile.
Now two down sides, first: the hotel is about a mile and a half from the old town centre which we did in about 30-45 minutes and there are frequent trams about a 100m from the hotel. The walk is nice enough next to the river but we got the suite so we could get back for a relax or a nap halfway through the day which we never bothered doing. No major problem though. Second: the in house restaurant is dire. We ate there the first night and were two of six people in the whole night. The service was excellent and like the rest of the hotel it was spotless but the food was terrible. Breakfast is also served in here and whilst it does the job thats the best that can be said. The cold buffet looked tired and the baked beans had been killed as had the coffee. I'm a bit fussy perhaps but this is a higher end hotel not a £30 budget place.
Overall we would probably still stay here again. The staff, cleanliness and sleep quality would be the clincher for us. We'd just continue to eat elsewhere.

Room Tip: Executive suite or rooms at back of hotel.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking time to share your experience with other travellers. I appreciate your detailed feedback and I am happy to learn that you have enjoyed your stay in one of our suites, located in the 5th floor with large terrace.

In regards to you comment to restaurant, I have to admit that occupancy fluctuate and restaurant is not always that busy during the low season. However as of March, the place gets busy and it has more vivid atmosphere. I have passed your comments regarding some items on the breakfast to our head chef so we can focus on those for improvement.

Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback and we are looking forward to welcoming you in our hotel again.

Yours sincerely,
Bohuslav Machacek,

I just have many experiences with this hotel. I have been here for business and with my family for visiting Prague too.
Generally, this hotel is prepared for both groups of visitors. Business and executive rooms are very comfortable, with speed internet, large room, coffee&tea making possibilities, executive room with terrace (very pleasure in summer), every rooms have flat TV with many international channels. Bath amenities correspond this hotel chain standards. Beds are very good. Cleanliness is at a high level.
Restaurant has good offer of local and international cuisine, the prices are higher, but quality and taste of meals is great. Buffet breakfast is tasty, range of meals is comfortable. For your comfort, try to ask at reception desk about breakfast time of organize groups and choose some another time.
Staff is very friendly.
Garage is under the building, some parking slots is also front of the entrance to hotel. I recomend to order a parking place in advance.
There are also very good spaces for meetings and conferences.
Fine designed and good equipped fitness room is situated in top floor. For comlete perfection is missing only spa and wellness possibilities.
Location is good, under ancient Vyšehrad Castle, Slavin-cemetery and Church of St. Peter and Paul. Tram-stop is 200 m from hotel, metro station is 800 m, or 1-2 stops by tram.

Room Tip: Rooms situated to courtyard are very quiet, rooms with fantastic wiew to Vyšehrad have a little problem - railroad under windows, but soundproofing is good.

I got a really good rate at the hotel (around £50 per night B&B) so didn't have the highest expectations. The check-in was very friendly, all reception staff I spoke to were fluent in English, and a city map provided.

The room was quite small, with a horrendously bright red wall next to the bad. There was also a bulk soap dispenser, and bulk shampoo/conditioner/shower gel in the shower which was a bit naff, so I'd recommend taking your own toiletries. The bathroom didn't have a bath, but had a very large shower. The mini bar was well stocked, and the TV had a good selection of channels (about 7 or 8 English, though they were all news) and a really good selection of films that are about 199 Koruna to rent. The room was very clean - couldn't find a single fault, and the housekeepers also did a good job of tidying up every day around our mess. However, there was no iron, but they do offer a pressing service that isn't too expensive.

We ate in the restaurant (or bar) on the first night, which was pretty poor. The staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable, but there was no atmosphere - such a large restaurant without any customers. It also felt quite cold, and there was no attempt at ambience - the music was tinny and didn't really help. The food was also dreadful - I had pork schnitzel, which was two huge pieces of breaded pork, that was dry, with some mashed potato and gherkins.

Breakfast in the morning was OK - plenty of staff, and a good service. Massive buffet selection, lots of pastries and breads, as well as bacon and sausages (which weren't the best), and lots of other savoury items. The coffee they serve is bulk brew in vaccum pots which is quite disgusting. Also, theres no fresh juice - all concentrate. But there's lots of choice, and plenty of contintental!

The hotel is outside a tram stop, otherwise you're looking at around a 30 minute walk to the old town. Reception sell day tickets for 110 Koruna - a taxi will be around 150-200 k from town.

I would like to thank the reception staff for being really helpful throughout our stay, in booking tables at restaurant and even ordering a take away for us one night!

The Park Inn Hotel in Prague is economical, has great food, is in a good location and is a comfortable place to stay. It is very modern. The staff are nice, helpful and friendly. A Tesco store is right around the corner for easy purchases of anything needed. Also, it is an easy walk to public transportation. My friends and I stayed here for 5 nights as we visited the beautiful city of Prague.

Room Tip: I would be happy to stay here again
