Let's face it, you'll miss your dog while on vacation. Don't miss this chance to tour one of the great parks of Prague with a fantastic dog. Before meeting up with Nela, leave at least 10-15 minutes to see the monument to the victims of communism, which is truly remarkable.
We toured Petřín with Nela and Petr, and we couldn't have picked a better way to spend our Sunday morning. Petr gave a great demonstration of how Bela became the great truffle hunter of Prague, and then Nela led us up the hill as she found truffles along the way. Eventually, we summited, among the Hunger Wall ruins, with a fantastic view of Prague.
After Nela finished her hunt, we made our way to Restauarant Konírna, where we enjoyed a truffled pasta dish with Petr and Nela. After lunch Petr gave us each a truffle. As we were dubious of the truffles making it through customs, one of Nela's truffles was featured for breakfast at our hotel in Vienna; the other made a great family breakfast once we returned home.
Restauarant Konírna was quite near the Charles Bridge, the Castle, the Kafka Museum, Kampa, etc. After eating, you may choose any number of nearby attractions. We walked across the Charles Bridge to the Gallery of Art Prague in Staré Město to see the Mucha and Warhol exhibits.
