We treated ourselves to a deluxe junior suite and found ourselves in the only room on the 6th floor, it was magical, views were fantastic, we felt quite special after the well publicised sparkling wine at check in, still a nice touch, location of the hotel can't be over stated as being so superb for all Old Town sights and the well appointed breakfast set us up for a full day walking around the sights each of our 3 days on our first visit to this lovely city. In our room I'd just advise taking care around the low ceiling beams and the internal lighting was not as good as I'd have expected but his is incidental to an overall superb hotel break - we would finitely recommend it for couples looking for a few days break in this city and if we return would head back here again without question

We really enjoyed our time in Prague and at this hotel. Like other reviewers mentioned, it is centrally located and in the middle of everything. We never had to take a cab and it was so close to old town square, you could actually hear the bells of the astronomical clock from our room! The service was great and the people at the front desk were nice and friendly. I really enjoyed the breakfast here and they had varying items-like hot items such as omelettes and delicious pastries. The hotel is very modern and ultra chic. The rooms are cute, but I would agree with other people about its odd shape; it felt like a dorm room or a cruise ship room. Also, our bathroom had a slight but noticeable urine odor to it. We didn't complain about it because we were hardly in the room. Overall, despite the bathroom, I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague.

I had never heard of the Barcelo chain and booked this based solely on the reviews here. I had no need to worry - we had a great stay. The car transfer from the train station and check-in were very smooth. We had booked a Family Room (2 adults, 2 kids) but were upgraded to a Junior Suite. The split-level room was large, tastefully decorated and comfortable. The upstairs bathroom was a little tight, though. Wifi was included, which we appreciated as those daily charges can really add up. The location was ideal, just steps away from the town square. Prague is an excellent city to explore by foot and we will definitely be back at the Barcelo.

The location of this hotel has already been mentioned in many reviews, you will not be disappointed. The check in staff were very helpful, and the free glass of champagne a nice touch. The reception area is open and airy, with a glass roof over a courtyard. It ahs nice meeting areas with couches and tables for informal business meetings.

The rooms are very large, with good quality fittings and fixtures. The bathroom is especially nice and well kitted out. The only downsides was that the bed was a little hard, and the TV is both small (27”) and only receives what looks like analogue local broadcasts. No satellite channels or digital.

Wifi was freely available but a little slow, really only useful for limited browsing and updating your Outlook mail box.

Breakfast was reasonable with a range suitable for both European and UK tastes. This is quite pricey if not included in your room rate. The rates themselves are reasonable by European standards (100 Euros) but very high for Prague. Still the ability to just walk out the door and be in the centre of the old city makes it all worthwhile. Recommended.

This hotel has a prime location in the heart of Prague Old Town.

We had a room on the second floor. The rooms itself was extremely spacious with a separate seating area. Immaculately clean

The breakfast was as good as I have had in a European City Hotel. A great choice and all very fresh.

Would stay here again without question.

The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Prague just off the Old Town Square,we were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist, and warm glass of wine. The room was lovely (501) a large junior suite full of character with bedroom, en suite shower room, separate wc and enormous lounge/ dining area. Breakfast was very nice with a good selection of hot and cold dishes and a very happy and friendly chef cooks eggs, omelettes and pancakes to order a nice touch!!
We didn't eat at night in the hotel but the receptionist recommended an Italian restaurant called Pasta Fresca 50 metres walk away, well we weren't disappointed ate there 3 out of 4 times,it is well worth the visit. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a junior suite, large and full of character on the fifth floor.
