Ron has to be the most welcome and friendly host that I have ever encountered staying in many different guesthouses around the world. He is passionate about his journey from US to Czech and will tell you stories after stories.

The place is quiet, clean and spacious. It feels like home, room is equipped with mini fridge, sofa and a nice big bed. The room is very comfortable and clean. Ron goes out of his way to make you feel at home. It’s quite a bargain compare to staying in a hotel.

From he moment that Ron confirms my reservation, he takes care of my travel needs from providing directions and advising places to visit. He gives me a handy fold out map upon arrival and orientation.

The location is pretty convenient once I learned the public transit. Tram and Subway are near by, and even a TEXCO on the corner to buy drinks and snacks. I had the Whirlpool room and I took a bath every night after a full day of sightseeing. Breakfast, coffee and tea making facilities are provided. There is WIFI everywhere and the room has a semi-private entrance. It truly feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Buy a travel pass from Ron, and you can go pretty much anywhere.

Though situated slightly further away from the city centre than other places, Ron's GH was a good place to stay.
Ron was very welcoming and had a good deal of recommendations at hand for restaurants, sights and museums. The room was large (including sofa, table and chairs, fridge, toaster, kettle and cupboards) and tidy. The en-suite bathroom was adequate: there was a pool/shower combination without a shower curtain. You had to be careful not to flood the bathroom, but it was alright for a short stay. All in all it could have been slightly cleaner.
Breakfast is NOT included! Though Ron supplied tea, preserves and some toast. There is a small grocery store around the corner, so you can just buy your own stuff and put it in the fridge.
Trams ran all night so we had no difficulty getting back and forth between the GH and the city.
A good stay for a visit to Prague!

A word on booking: apparently when we tried to book via the homepage that didn't work. In the beginning I thought he might be out of business, buut I tried once more leaving him my number. He phoned me on the appointed time and was really nice. He asked me to try again but it still didn't work. It was all rather complicated with several phone calls before we ended up settling the booking via email.
Usually problems with bookings put me off from choosing a place.
But maybe that problem is solved now.

We stayed here this September and already can't wait to go back. Ron's Rainbow Guesthouse was incredibly comfortable and sits in a great location. Ron is very kind and helpful. He informed us of many restaurants, sculptures, bars, and sights to check out in Prague and how to get there easily. By far the best place I've ever stayed on a vacation and we can't wait to go back.

We spent 9 days in this enchanted city of Prague. We discovered places through Internet and with the most helpful friendly Ron. As we got there we sat down and he explained every detail, place, corner etc to visit Prague. Every time we needed something he tried to do his best. And all in all this guest house was money worth it. As we stayed in for a shower and few hours of sleeping.

I strayed here for 4 nights on my recent trip to Prague. Very comfortable and clean. Ron is an excellent host with lots of insites into the city. The location is a long walk into the heart of the city but can be easily reached by public transporation. I recommend this place to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay in Prague.

Ron is more of a host then an apartment landlord! He organised every detail for you, right from the time of booking/ enquiry! He will email you all you need to know from the point you arrive in Prague, including accurate directions and travel info to get to the apartment.
When you arrive, Ron will be eagerly waiting for you and will escort you to your room, then sit down with you and provide all the advice you need for your stay/entertainment/ tourist info/ travel maps...etc. The info is invaluable!
The apartment was clean and comfortable. He will provide some bread, butter, jam, tea, coffee to start you off with, and is around most of the time for any assistance. I stayed in the 'Luxury' room, which was large, airy and bright, with a large double bed and a large sofa bed. Ideal for 2-3 people.
There are 2 trams which bring you to the area, and are a 5-10 min walk to the apartment.
He also sells tram tickets..so you dont need to look for them! how handy is that!
Prague is a beautiful city, with much to see and do. Best to take a tram to the center, then explore on foot.

Room Tip: All rooms are good i think.

Ron's rainbow guest house was a great place to stay. He is very accommodating, and helped us learn the lay of the city and point out some cool things to see that were off the beaten path. He has so much knowledge of Prague, and he wants to help his guests have the best experience possible. We were very comfortable and felt we could really enjoy ourselves there. I really recommend staying here if you speak english, and the price is fair. We will be back someday!
