“Great hostel, friendly staff”
Reviewed January 13, 2014 via mobile

I stayed at hostel one for a week over New Years and it was great! It's a little bit far from Old Town Square and Charles Bridge, but if you take the tram (which I didn't) it's not far at all! Staff here is so so friendly (shoutout to James and Sam especially!) and always said hello/goodbye and made small talk when I was heading out for the day. Free dinner 4 nights a week is great as well, and is definitely an awesome way to meet people because they open up the bar afterwards and everyone hangs out together for most of the night. The hostel was pretty clean by hostel standards. Wifi doesn't work on any floor but the first, although that does help people be more social!! Also there are a bunch of different places to hang out downstairs (kitchen, computer room, common room) so you can always go to the least populated spot if you don't want company.

We Stayed for 4 nights at the hostel with friends, and we had a good experience. Its a really great hostel, especially for fun, young travelers with a colourful spirit. Its also very social, with amazing staff that go out of their way to ensure that you enjoy your stay. They also have organised group outings and events, we didn't attend any of these because we had limited days and mostly spent our days and nights in the city (the staffs recommendations and pointers are probably the best, we took these and had no regrets). I think I would have managed okay even as a solo traveler.

We stayed in an 8 bed mixed dorm, which had 2 toilets and a shower, refrigerator and little "kitchen-like" space and a balcony. (Cleaned by house keeping staff daily)

The location is also convenient, considering that the tram stop is a short distance away from the hostel. However, If you are a wanderer (like us), a 15 minutes walk o the city center is not a problem.

What I loooooved: Free tea and coffee services, Wi-Fi (in the common rooms), Pleasant staff members, Spacious rooms, Clean rooms and bathrooms. I Would return definitely to this hostel!

What could have been better: My bed sucked (But its a hostel after all, what did I expect), Noise levels can be a little loud in the evening (great thing for youngsters, not so great for older people).

Room Tip: If you can't live without Wi-Fi, choose a room on the lowere levels for better signal. Rooms on...

I spent 2 nights in this hostel and it was so far my best hostel experience when I was a guest and not a worker there. The hostel itself is clean and well organized the stuff is helpful, nice and funny, each and every one of them made a great impression and I would love to see them again sometime. Even though I lost my wallet in a bar I only came home with good memories.Way to go guys, you're doing it right!!!!
Hopefully see you in Budapest :)

Definitely best hostel where I ever stayed at. Cool bar downstairs, staff is awesome, I went there to stay two night and ended up with a week. They make everyday a different activity (trip to oldtown, bone church or hanging out to play a bowling...) Location is very good, 15 mins walking to the heart of the city or 5mins by cheap tram. Restaurants and stuff around are way more cheaper then in Oldtown. Will come back soon, because in this place you feel like at home... Stay here!

The location isnt great and one has to travel quite a bit before getting to the tourist areas. The wifi is unreliable and this hostel is on the whole a decent place for those with a budget but still leaves something to be desired.

Thank you again for your stay and we appreciate that you found a time to leave your review.
However, the comment is not very possitive for us. I would like to make clear for the follow travelers the distance to the main turistic attractions in the city: its about 20 minutes walking distance or you can take any tram (there are 3 different lines) and go for 3 stops, it will drop you in the centre in 5 minutes.
The wifi does not work in all rooms, but it perfectly works with two separate routers in all common areas. Our hostel is very social place and we want to encourage all the guests to come down to the common rooms to hang out with other guests and the staff :-)
Safe travels

The hostel is very nice and have a great ambiance. People are very friendly and the staff is kind and helpful. Everyday days theres something planned and every nights the staff take you out to a new bar. Rooms are good and clean, the beds are comfortable and on top of that theres a bar in the basement which is great to start the evening. You have discount on some restaurants and places near the hostel too. So, overall good place and nice people and definitively gonna get back there if I'll return to Prague. Oh, and special thanks to Sam for putting such good music!!
