“Rip-off that stands above the other rip-offs in the tourist district”
Reviewed July 1, 2011

The food was okay, but the good news stops there. The staff looked for ways to inflate the bill, which was expensive to begin with for what the place is anyway (i.e. $5.40 for a Coke). Service charge was added compulsory but not disclosed prior to ordering. One guest ordered bread but they charged for all persons at the table. Lots of good choices in Prague, even the tourist district. Many to be wary of, but skip this oen.

“Check your bill carefully and don't expect to pay by credit card.”
Reviewed February 22, 2011

We chose this restaurant because we had little cash left and wanted to use our credit card, not easy to do in restaurants in prague. The sign on the door said credit cards accepted. A couple at a nearby table tried to pay by card, the waiter refused. When we came to pay he said the machine was not working today. I knew that was not the truth and said so, the waiter just shrugged. I am sure whatever day you go in the machine will not be working! When the bill arrived it said service not included. The waiter had also included a slip of paper that gave the price of the meal and a new price with 10% added. I insisted on receiving my change and told him that he would have had a tip had I been able to pay by card. As he had duped me I was not prepared to pay for service. At this point he started being rude to us, so we just left. The food was OK and the bread basket was divine but we left feeling he had got our money under false pretences. Beware!

“Chef's kitchen consists of a can opener and microwave oven, nothing else.”
Reviewed November 16, 2010

This restaurant was bad in most every way. Food was exceptionally bad, most all of it tasted like it came out of a can. Service was indifferent at best. Restaurant ambience and atmosphere was acceptable, and the beer was good (screwing up a beer is kind of hard to do in Prague though). Tourist spot rip-off. There are other excellent restaurants along this street and in this part of town. These people have no excuse, especially with the exhorbitant prices.

“Relaxed shady courtyard seating in midst of busy tourist area”
Reviewed July 28, 2009

Stumbled in to this place starving after trying to find a place recommended to us that had since closed down...... it was a HOT day so the outdoor patio seating in the shade & quick service were appreciated. Food was good, not bad, nor exceptional - we had pizza, salad and (delicious) grilled vegetables.
