booked this hotel with octopus travel and paid 2 or 3 months before going, 36 hours before going they rang me to tell me they hadnt been able to arrange my room and made various vague excuses. Wasnt the fault of the hotel but having specifically chosen this hotel I wished that I had booked direct and not gone for the cheapest deal.

Was happy with the Hotel they changed me to but not the greatest start to my anniversary holiday.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Premier Royal Palace in mid April. The staff was very friendly, ready to help with our bags and anything else we needed. The view of Prague Castle from our room was spectacular! Our rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was served in a nice room and was delicious with a variety of things to choose from. The hotel was only a couple minutes walk to the Charles Bridge as well as some great restaurants. We would definitely recommend this hotel to people travelling to Prague!

A great location for a break, within minutes of the major attractions. Views of Prague castle from our room which was spacious, tastefully decorated and very clean. Our 10 yr old daughter was delighted that she had a 'real' 3rd bed in the Superior triple room.
An excellent selection is available for breakfast. The dining area could be viewed as small but we never experienced a problem and considered it sized appropriately for the hotel: although we travelled out of peak season.

Complimentary 24 hour room service for tea, coffee and hot water available so would recommend taking some drink sachets (e.g. hot chocolate) if that's your preference.

Approximately 30 minutes from the airport however we emailed the hotel the day before arrival and arranged return transfers for 1200 CZK. Although higher priced than some transfers this allowed us the ability to return to the hotel after checking out and wait in their lounge area, browsing on the internet (via free connection on the AppleMac) until we were picked up by our Mercedes-Benz.

Excellent maid service, room cleaned daily, fresh towels, toileteries and bed linen daily, room safe and hair dryer provided. Polite and helpful staff throughout, with 24 hour attendance on the front desk.

We didn't dine at the hotel, but after you have had your fill of goulash and dumplings (day 2 or 3) I would recommend the Italian 'boat restaurant' moored at the bridge downstream from Charles bridge (turn right out of the entrance to the hotel and walk for 5 mins).

If you're looking for a clean, welcoming hotel in a central location which presents value for money this hotel should make your short list. (KA)

It is a long, long time since I have felt this welcomed in a hotel. Every single thing about it is perfect. I could find NO fault whatsoever with the staff, except maybe Karol in the bar/restaurant (amusingly gruff). All spoke several languages. We were there for 6 nights, The beds were changed EVERY night. The Restaurant is very good.
THIS IS NOT A BUDGET HOTEL. It was Best Westerns first 5 star Hotel in Europe. Be prepared to pay a little more for the TRULY EXCELLENT service.
It is also just a 5 minute walk to the Charles Bridge.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my mum , brother and his partner. The room i shared with my mun was a twin and very small, bathroom tiny!, thou my brother's was very impressive , he had the deluxe double just across the corridor which was much bigger and witha very large bathroom. Views from both were poor . Location very good close to all historical attractions and all within walking distance. There is parking at the front if you hire a car. Food very good choice of breakfast and all staff very friendly. I would deffinetly stay here again.

Concur with other reviews - Hotel pleasant enough but lacked depth. Ate in on first night - food ok but service questionable as met with a sigh each time you 'troubled' the waiter who incidentally doubled up as the barman. Continental breakfast ok but 'hot' breakfast not up to 5 star standard. The breakfast area was extremely cramped.

Ordered the complimentary tea/coffee twice - first day turned up within 15 mins, second time it didn't arrive (probably because we didn't tip the first time - question if its actually complimentary ?).

Rooms of good standard and couldn't fault cleanliness - had two rooms deluxe room (4th floor) overlooked castle but could still hear the trams below. Superior room on the 5th floor overlooked the main city and much quieter.

Overall 8/10
