Step back to the 1920s in this 1st floor cafe behind the statue of the Black Madonna.
We were thrilled with the decor and unhurried atmosphere. The menu tempted us to coffee and plum cake and for 2 the bill was 240kr
The presentation of the coffee in Cubist coffee cups on an individual tray complete with glass of water and coconut macaroon was far superior to any we had experienced thus far. The cake too was a very good size and served with cream.
The only criticism are that the toilets are very shabby and not in keeping at all.

We stopped here for a beer and a light lunch, had such friendly service, and so enjoyed the gorgeous interiors! We ate upstairs and felt like we were transported back to last century. Perfect place to stop during a day of sightseeing.

I struggle to think of something positive to say. No sign of a smile from the staff felt as if we were a hindrance rather than customers, doesn't seem to be a no smoking area - we asked. So ended up with smokers either side, very unpleasant if you don't smoke. Cool day but all the windows open to try and clear the smoke. Coffee wasn't great and served with a stale biscuit, really there's much nicer places to go in Prague.

The place is hidden on the first floor of a "Kubist" building. Music was good for the part. Croissants (choc) and coffee was good for the sweet breakfast lover.

Okay, the service is slow and a bit blase but the interior of this early 20th Century restaurant is not to be missed. Go for drinks or maybe a qucik afternoon snack.
