We ate twice for diner in this semi-gastronomic restaurant, which is actually affiliated to the Imperial Café across the street. I'd recommend to book a table because it was full and had to turn down some people would hadn't reserved...
The waiters were very professional but also friendly and smiling. The room(s) are cosy, modern and if you sit in the last room, you can even see the kitchen and the cooks preparing the dishes.
The food and drinks were really delicious and the dessert were not only delicious but also magnificent!
The price was really reasonable for such good evenings. Can only recommend.

Top end food at reasonable prices.

Try the Czech dumplings with beef medallions and cranberry compote. Service great but no overbearing. Menu available online too so you can see what is on offer. Would recommend making a booking online - very easy!

This promised to be the highlight meal of our tour to Prague and as far as the food and the ambiance of the restaurant it was. The quality of what was served was exceptional. However, our waiter was clearly intent on up-selling the wine to more expensive bottles and they don't have a house white or red to choose. We were asked to pay a sizable deposit, something I have never had to do in the past, and due to their own internal systems, found it almost impossible to split the bill between 2 tables and apportion the deposit per person between the two bills, even though our waiter had confirmed this was OK when we arrived. They finally did this manually but still insisted it being taken on 1 credit card. This spoiled what should have been a wonderful experience.

We booked this on a recommendation of a tour guide and wanted something nice for our last night in Prague. The ambience and setting is very nice and we were impressed. Service was excellent.

We were a little dissapointed by the food. Two of us ordered snails for a starter. These were battered and deep fried. This is an odd way to have snails and they were dry with not much flavour. My mum was not impressed with the pheasant finding it lacking flavour. Three of us had wild boar for the main. I thought the meat was actually very good though my stepfather disagreed. The presentation of all the dishes was excellent.

Overall it didn't quite meet our expectations, though my fiance enjoyed his meal, so it could be a bit dependent upon what you order.

The house dark beer though is good.

We wanted to dine at the Cafe Imperial, but the concierge at our hotel said nothing was available until 8:45 (too late) and suggested its "brother/sister" restaurant, Next Door. She said the menu was the same, but the ambiance was a bit less elegant, and made a reservation for us at 6:00 this evening.

Well, we had dinner there on our last night in Prague and last night after 2+ weeks in Eastern Europe, and could not have been more please. We had a very nice, private table for 2, an excellent server in Daniel, and the ambiance could not have been better.

As far as the food and beverages are concerned, no worries. We shared a dinner Ceasar salad. My wife had a chicken breast with a candied nut sauce and pureed corn, while I had snitzel (spelling problem there) with mashed potatoes and cucumber salad. Between us, we had 6 drinks. Too, we shared a chocolate ball dessert.

The food presentation was excellent, as were the quality and quantity. The beverages were fine, too. The amazing thing was the price - about USD $120, including service. Also, after we finished our salad Daniel asked if we'd like a break before our main courses, to which we said "yes", and then he brought them probably 10 minutes later. Very classy - absolutely no rush and impeccable service.

We DEFINITELY would go back and equally strongly recommend this restaurant to others.
