U Medvidku isn't the best-known beer hall in Prague, but the staff are very good, the beer is very nice, and the food is tasty. Unless you order some of the really meat-heavy dishes, you won't be swamped with meat with your meal, but with tasty sauces and delicious dumplings, you certainly won't be hungry afterwards, and the prices are very reasonable considering the standard of the food. We wanted to try the crispy pigs tails, but they didn't have any when we visited. Later, while having a beer after our mains, the barman said that some had arrived, and asked if we'd still like this. This was a very nice touch, and they were very tasty!

Went to the bar 1st and had a couple of drinks. Can recommend the x33 (strongest beer in the world!) Very sweet, and the hot beer punch, like a mulled beer. Went to the restaurant and had some more good beers (old gott and budvar), and of course food! Food was superb. Special of steak with pepper sauce, and a combo, beef and chicken dish, both served with potato slices. Both dishes were large portions and around £10 each. Would definately recommend a visit to anyone coming to Prague.

Very disappointed decided that we would take a punt and try this beer hall in Prague. Unfortunately we turned about about 20.00 and the restaurant was shut. There was a notice on the door but I cannot speak Czech. Oh well had to go to another restaurant down the road. I would stay away at the moment. 02/02/12

Delicious food and tasty home-brewed beer (of 12 Co strength ;) ) Highly recommended for a lunch or dinner. Perfect for a boys' get-together.
The stuff speaks English as well.
