“Cafe Imperial”
Reviewed May 13, 2013

We had a dinner and lunch at this gorgeous restaurant. It is in the Art Deco Imperial Hotel in Prague, a 10 minute walk from the town square. The ceramic tiles decorating this very large and impressive restaurant made waiting to be served a pleasure. The menu was large and varied, service and food were very good. Bread was delicious so when asked if we wanted more, we said yes. We were charged for the second bread basket! It was the best food we had in Prague. Pricewise I would say it was moderately expensive.

“Out of a film”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

The food and service are excellent but its a must see just for the intricate decor which is from an era bygone. Straight out of a 30's film set.

“Do Not Miss!”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

When in Prague do not miss a chance to eat at this Art Deco and culinary delight. We ate there in April 2013 and loved it! The ambience is striking with stunning tiles and ceramic statues. The service was lovely and the food delicious. It was only a short walk from the Prague Hilton.

“beautiful restaurant”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We had dinner here while in Prague. The setting is wonderful. A beautiful high ceilinged Art Deco room with tables close together. The high ceilings keep the noise level down permitting quiet conversation.

The service was perfect. Our waiter spoke very good English. He had a good sense of humor, and was very friendly. (Even to the point of telling us that we needn't leave a tip since 10% is added to the bill)

The food was delicious. The menu includes Czech favorites, but also some creations from the celebrity chef. It is very fairly priced. Dinner for two which was one beer, three glasses of wine, two appetizers, two entrees, and a shared dessert. Was less than $75.

If we return to Prague, this is a place we will definitely go back to.

“enjoyable, experience at the Cafe Imperial but Bar Waiter in Hotel was rude”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We enjoyed our meal here at the Cafe Imperial, we didn't have a reservation but we were kindly ask to wait at hotel bar and we would have a table in 30 minutes.
We had just sat down at the bar with our drink when we were told by the bar waiter that he had received a telephone from restaurant to say that our table was ready, he requested payment for drinks first before we left the bar, we thought this was odd, as another couple at the bar were waiting for a table too and they were were told their table was available and was escorted from bar to restaurant, by a restaurant staff, they asked should they pay for their drinks and were told no, it will be added to bill. So we paid for the drinks and bar staff didn't say anything to us afterwards, we had to ask, shall we walk into restaurant now, he just nodded his head not very friendly at all.
When we sat down, the Restaurant staff were very friendly, experienced and attentive to our needs. The food was great, we both enjoyed our drinks, starters, main course and dessert, and brandy afterwards. We would visit again when we return to Prague again.
Food was excellent but had to rate this experience with the service we received from the Bar Waiter in Hotel, he does needs some training on politeness to all guests not just hotel residents.
