Food was surprisingly good and the waiters were polite. Unfortunately tables are very close to each other so I wouldn´t recommend this place for anniversaries, intimate celebrations or romantic dinners. We were lucky that the group of people sitting next to us left shortly after we placed the order as we were really disturbed by their talk. Top end of the casual dining. Interesting interior but not cozy.

This restaurant was recommended to us, so we looked forward to a good dinner, hopefully with some authentic Czech food. When we walked in, the decor was lovely. There were still many tables available when we entered, but the somber 'Maitre 'd'??seemed to have difficulty finding us a seat. All reserved perhaps? No, but the thought occurred that maybe a few Crowns might help? Finally we were seated and served by a delightful young waiter. He was friendly and talkative without being intrusive or neglectful of his job. The food came, well presented, and quite tasty, but we couldn't help noting that the 'maitre'd or whoever he was had had what appeared to be a not too happy talk with our waiter. The waiter was never seen again at our table, and quite disappeared later never to be seen again. We pretty much had to tackle a young water boy by the knees before we could get service for dessert and coffee. He looked petrified, but then that was only what it appeared to us. Also we were charged for tap water, and unexpectedly, were charged another cost which, upon enquiry, were told that it was for the table cloth etc. Strange. We did ask our Czech host at the hotel about this and he said that was highly unusual. Guess we paid for getting the table after all.
We still have uneasy feelings about the restaurant and our experience, but apparently all the other reviews seem positive about this establishment. A one-off for us?

Stunning Art Nouveau architecture, the place is Michelin recommended, the service was excellent, we tried some of the chef's recommendations and they were great. The place is quite expensive , reservations to be made in advance (it is to be said that reservations through internet do NOT work- pay attention!)

Loved it! We had dinner there on a whim on 12/26/13. We were a little worried that the day after Christmas would leave us with poor options. We saw the Cafe Imperial while walking around. We stopped in to make a reservation. Good thing we did as we took the last option.
Dinner was very nice. The service was excellent. The options were great. We had a nice leisurely dinner with wine, salad, main course and fantastic desert. I highly recommend the tri of chocolates. This is a great place to add to your list of options.

Not sure what the hype about this restaurant is about. We came in for breakfast and we saw the buffet right after we entered. But the waitress did not offer us buffet, instead she gave us a la carte menu. Having read the reviews before, we asked about the buffet and the waitress said yes there's also buffet which cost 380 czk. So my friend opted out for the buffet and I for the a la carte since i was not hungry. I ordered one coffee, 1 croissant and 2 small chocolate au pain which came out cold. When the bill came I just noticed they charged for the jam and butter, so the total cost was almost as much as the buffet. The only thing I would give more star is for the atmosphere.
