I found this place via TripAdvisor and was on the hunt for non tourist-priced authentic Czech food... this place is GREAT! It's got a great selection of beers and the food is fantastic! Great quality, and for the price the portion sizes are huge! We got the appetizer plate as well as the meat just fell off the ribs!
Definitely get the Svichkova (probably butchered the spelling), its delicious! We went twice to this restaurant we liked it so much and the second time the waitress brought us samplers of ALL their beer!

Good Czech food at reasonable prices. Service is prompt and the servings are very generous. They have branches around Prague

We accidentally ended up here after walking from the street market. How lucky of us. Being a beer drinker, I ordered Staropramen and Velvet. Both were good and affordable. I ordered beef with sauce (can't remember what it was exactly). The serving was huge, good enough for two people. The staff were friendly and accomodating, and smiling, too. I will visit his place again if I return to Prague.

We stayed at the Emblem Hotel for 7 days which is on the same road as Potrefena Husa. We had a drink or something to eat there every day.

I particularly liked the Staropramen Lager, Mama Mzee preferred their Light Beer. They also serve (amongst others) a really delicious dark beer along the lines of London Porter - a bit filling, but delicious nonetheless.

One evening we ordered Smoked Pigs Knuckle (sorry Miss Piggy), a plate of sausages, potato cakes etc. We just hadn't realised how large the pigs knuckle would be. The knuckle was absolutely delicious, unfortunately I don't think we ate half of it, it was just too much for us.

We liked the staff and I've got to say they were very hard working, keeping up with the orders, clearing tables etc.

Excellent food and restaurant! A place worth going to! Amazing atmosphere and very nice waiters and the prices are more than ok.
