During our trip to Prague, we had visited Potrefena Husa Resslova twice and since it is a chain, we expected the same quality of food and service on Platnerska. But it was not the case, unfortunately. The place felt less "authentic", the visitors were all tourists, and this is why it was strange that the English menu had numbers of lines in it, but the waiter made it clear she didn't even understand numbers in English. We somehow managed to order by pointing in the menu with our fingers. The prices were a bit more expensive and the food definitely not as good as in Husa Resslova. It was ok, but not delicious. The portions are still huge, like everywhere in Prague.
I wouldn't go here again. There are better Czech cuisine restaurants in Old Town.

We had a family lunch on a Monday and the place was very quiet. Effective and kind service. Generous portions. The food was tasty, I had the typical cabbage soup in bread bowl, which I would recommend. The chips were served in a very innovative way and the kids loved it.

Went there with my parents for a late Sunday lunch. Well worth the price as the burger and the dessert were amazing. The service was also excellent. Price is also within the average in Prague.

Ordered a Hoegaarden White 0.5L. Could sense that the waitress was disappointed I was ordering the 'loss leader' product without any of their overpriced food. I asked my girlfriend to watch the waitress prepare my beverage. She put 3 different things into my drink - the first was Hoegaarden (about 75%), the others were pilsners/ales. Beer tasted like Hoegaarden, but obviously the banana/clove flavor was heavily muted and it had some strange flavors that didn't belong. Avoid this place at all costs - food is way overpriced and they take advantage of "stupid" tourists. Buyer beware...

This was the only restaurant in Prague where we were not on a patio because it was not an option. The small windows that look out onto the street, made for a claustrophobic feel after so many other meals/drinks taken on a patio.

Aside from the minuses of the decor, the atmosphere, and the two snobby servers/bartender out of three, the one plus was that the food was okay, and the portions generous, making the pricing/value of this restaurant it's most attractive aspect.

We had the Tender Beef Confit, which had plenty of sauce, and the dry-rubbed BBQ (pork) Ribs, which was served with a regular bbq sauce on the side. Both were good, standard fare, and are recommended if you are looking for a meaty dish with no surprises, and no fanfare for the taste buds.
