“Great and traditional restaurant”
Reviewed February 6, 2013

This is one of the restaurants in the city center of Prague that has been on the market for a while keeping always good standard. I recommend choosing one of the menus with a wine. It is a good place to go for a date with your girlfriend as well as go with your business partners.

“Best dining in Prague”
Reviewed January 30, 2013

I came to this place for the second time (the first was in 2010) and was not dissapointed. Food was great, you may select from Bohemian, French or Oriental menue. Prices are high for Prague, but the place was full on Saturday night. Service was OK. Wine selection excellent. Definately worse a visit if you are looking for something not just for the tourists and on the high end at this city.

“Very good food + service”
Reviewed January 29, 2013

We ate here on our first night. The quality of the food was excellent and the wine choice was very good. The restaurant is quite expensive for Prague prices but I would definitely recommend this for a treat.

“Top level service and food close to the Hussit Chaple of Betlehem in Prague”
Reviewed January 23, 2013

One of mine favorite restaurants in Prague, we celebrate here my wife´s birthday almost every year. I tis in the very centre of Old Tie, just beside the Chaple of Betlehem, where Hussit movements started in the beginning of 15th century. Some tourists are surprised that the church was reconstructed and rebuild under communist régime, but it was because the Hussits movement against Catholic church was heavily supported in that time.
This time she decided for Zátiší 5 courses degustation menu and I tried Indian degustation menu, as there was a guest Indian chef. The menu begun with Parsnip Soup with black truffle emulsion, creamy and with stress on vegetable taste. I had very interesting tomato and lentil soup with typical red masala taste.
Second course was a slice of foie gras, good with some pears, and a big tiger prawn baked in tandoori again with indian taste, very decent, not killing the taste of the prawn, stressing it only.
Thirs came fillet de turbot with squid pieces and s vegetables, soft, nice smell and natural taste of fish and for me chicken tandoori with yellow lentils and sllightly sour sream sauce with cucumber and some exotic vegetable pieces.
Fourth was lamb chops (we asked for a change, lamb instead of Black Angus steak on a menu) and I has lamb curry, reasonably hot with very thick potato purée with varous fresh herbs inside.
We finished with Créme brulée with strawberries and cookies, I had a mango parfait – Kulfi, very tasty, sweet with sour tones, excellent.
We were drinking Pinot gris from Moravia (Sukal winery), fresh flowery nose and taste full of peaches and few apricots and Syrah from Minervois, for my taste too „Californian“, young cask taste ruling over the taste of Syrah, slightly too much vanilla and wood.
As always, excellent service, from individual china plates for each course (and menu, we had different ones), very good to waiters, smiling, asking always how satisfied ve were. And they had a lot of work, there was a big company of Japanese tourists in next room.
Food is excellent, nicely served, the interior is beautiful with handmade glass decoration, textile wall covers in the (except the library room, where one wall is made of used books), Josef Sudek original photos etc.. The prices are not low (with wines about 130 Euros for both), but the quality and style cannot be cheap. Recommended for romantic dinner (not only),
