I've now eaten at La Degustation on three separate trips, including with my wife and by myself. Each time has been fantastic. The layout and size of this restaurant is great, which affords views of the kitchen, with modern decor, and a somewhat laid-back attitude, while still being very nice. The tasting menus are always great, and incredibly interesting and innovative. The local option is a superb choice, if you want a Czech flare but with a modern theme. The wine pairings are always interesting, unique and fantastic. Sure, this is an expensive meal compared to other spots in Prague, but it is cheap compared to peers in other European cities. I can't say it's the best meal I've ever had, but it's up there. Individual courses are smallish, but for good reason…I've always left here incredibly stuffed, even before they hand you some amazing chocolate truffles on your way out the door! More than anything, the atmosphere and staff are what keeps me coming back. The next time I'm in Prague, I will definitely return.
