“False information by booking company”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 15, 2013

It is pointless going to this sort of thing unless you are prepared to enter into the spirit of the evening. The entertainment was enjoyable, there was a good atmosphere. the food was acceptable. However be warned.... If you book through an agency as I did, what you pay for and what you get, varies, also you are not given a chance to have a better menu. We were served bread and dips, a pancake and some lentils, chicken and duck or pork with wedges and a piece of tomato and a few shavings of cabbage, a piece of plain cake and two drinks for approx £30. It states a five course meal and entertainment over 3 hours. We were all done in 2 and a half hours.
Go ..... It is a good evening, suitable for children and a good all rounder. Just don't book through an agency, book whilst you are in Prague or maybe direct on www.krcmaupabouka.cz to guarantee a place. One more thing, if you don't like smoking environments, it's not for you.

“Medieval FUN in Prague”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 3, 2013

This was fun. It's seems they've changed this a little from the other reviews I've read. The food was excellent. It came out in intervals and it was hot. I don't speak Czech, but you really don't need to. The staff all spoke English and the show was mainly dancers and music with a bit of comedy from the duelers.

I would definitely recommend this to families, couples and I think it would make for a great first date. And if you have a birthday, they really go out for that as well. I was lucky enough to see them sing Happy Birthday to the person and the person also got a special birthday treat. I won't say what it was so that I don't spoil the surprise. :)

I booked in advance and it was easy. I did tip the waiter, but got the feeling that I didn't need to. He seemed surprised when I gave him 100 cz. I would recommend tipping them, because they really do a fantastic job and deserve it.

The only downfall to the evening was that someone was smoking a cigar behind me. I wish they wouldn't allow that. It was bad enough that there were several people smoking around me, but cigar smell is way too strong for me. But if you are a smoker, then enjoy it while it lasts. I've heard that Prague will soon be putting a ban on smoking in public areas.

“Excellent experience of fun any easygoing”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 2, 2013

The sttaf is great, 5 courses meal, great music, fun scenes, get into the mood and the Medieval spirit. Please make sure to reserve a baby seat cause these are scarce. It is ashame that smoking is allowed inside and by the time we went out, we smelled like a chimney...

they overcharge you (40euros) for a poor quality 3-course-meal (and not 5 ) when you can have dinner with less than 10 euros. The dance with the girls was ok.

“so and so”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 20, 2013

I knew when i went down the stairs that im entering a tourist trap. A place where they focus more on the "entertainment" than on the food. You wont see any locals here, you wont eat great food, you will pay a lot of money (as supposed to a dinner at any other restaurant in prague). What you will se is a medieval / pirate / belly dance / sword-snake-fire dance type of show with bagpipe and drum music. The atmosphere in this dungeon (i think its the look they are trying to put across) is what you would expect from a dungeon. Its dark, its crowded, its loud, the food is mediocre and the music played by the band is eery and melodic. Somehow this all mingles into a fun, different dining experience. Sure you could have gone to eat somewhere nicer, but this place isn't about the food, its about the experience of the show
