“Good stopping point”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Came across this place walking the town square. Dont know if I could find it again if I tried! Some of the restaurants are in side streets like this. We both had the set menu lunch and came away very satisfied and the cost to eat so reasonable. There is a cover charge to eat here but at 17 Czech k per person this is cheap and it gives you the bread. I would like to try the house BBQ pork ribs the next time. Looked really great on other orders.

“Good food at reasonable prices”
Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

We came across this restaurant by chance while walking around the Old Town Square. It is located in one of those small lanes where cars are not allowed in. We tried the pork ribs & some traditional Czech dumplings- the food is really good- the portions are huge too. Really liked the cabbage that came with the dumplings. Prices are reasonable as well for the portions we were served. Had the apple pie for dessert, can't really go wrong. Staff was attentive as well- but be warned, like in most of the restaurants, we note that there is additional charge for the bread- not sure whether this only applies to tourists. We got a discount voucher for the next visit. Certainly a good variety on the menu- would recommend this place to anyone visiting Prague.

“Decent local restaurant”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Wandered in here randomly on a Tuesday night, and the place was almost full, but there was room for the 2 of us. Good quality and good value food, and good size portions. Mix of local/traditional Czech food, and more familiar stuff. Pretty good service and a nice atmosphere. There was no pork the night we dined here, so a big chunk of the menu was unavailable, but that didn't really detract from the generally good experience we had. Would happily go back again...

“Dry meat and raw potatoes”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

We stumbled across this restaurant by accident but it looked inviting and the prices were very reasonable.
However, we were both very disappointed. My boyfriend had the mixed grill and I had the Prague plate. The meat on both plates tasted of nothing. I had pork, rabbit and lamb. Both, pork and rabbit, was very very dry. The lamb was just fat and bones. Both of us had potatoes on our plates and they were still somewhat raw.

I cannot recommend this place at all - there are so many nice restaurants in Prague, don't waste your time and money at this one!

“Third visit to Blatnice!!”
Reviewed June 23, 2013

We ate at Blatnice twice last year so decided to return on our recent visit to Prague and were not disappointed. There is a good menu choice and the food was as delicious as we remembered - chicken with peppercorn sauce, schnitzels, one with mushroom sauce, the other with blue cheese and pork ribs (21 in total, big portions) so not for the faint hearted!! The staff are very helpful and found us a table outside (weather very warm) but the inside restaurant and bar are traditional and welcoming. Very good value for money and we will visit again when we return, yet again, to Prague, which just love this city.
