Description: In the restaurant you can enjoy friendly and calm atmosphere of French countryside even if you are in the centre of Prague. The restaurant is located close to upper corner of Wenceslas Square (150 m from Museum metro station and 300 m from I.P. Pavlova metro station). On the menu you can find steaks and other dishes from aged Charolaise beef produced by Czech farmers, lamb from our farm, fruit brandy produced in our own distillery and various French specialities. The “secret” tip is a dessert prepared by liquid nitrogen (-196C°) right next to your table. Name of the restaurant “White cow” refers to the world´s best breed originating from the French town called Charolais. Founding of the restaurant almost twenty years ago is closely connected with a breeding company, which imported Charolaise cows from France and it breaded here in the Czech Republic. We use beef from young Charolaise bulls raised on meadows of Moravian Highlands. On blackboard nearby of entrance each customer can find bull´s identification number, age and exact length of meat aging. On the top of that in the restaurant you can taste lamb from our farm, fruit brandy produced in our own distillery and many more. We like to say that in our restaurant you really „Know, what you eat“ and „Know what you drink.

I have never been to Provence. On my wish list.
Having read Peter Mayle's books this may be like in Provence.
Not the cheapest one but still affordable. Small restaurant near the city center. Cute stylish interior. Really good food and atmosphere.
On top of that nice and decent staff having a fine sense of humor.
Recommend. Make a reservation.

Snales, carpaccio, fois grass, variations of rear stakes, red wine. Food was cheap (according to quality) and really great. But waiter was awsome. You really have to try this restaurant.

A local businessman took me to this restaurant for lunch at 3pm and we left at 6pm. Its in the new town area of Prague where many locals will shop rather than the more expensive city centre. Its a short taxi or tram ride away from the old town and a pleasant journey. The street and the the front entrance give you no idea what a treat you are in for. The menu is more French than Czech, its very good value and the steaks are really melt in the mouth. There are details of what farm and the beef came from and how it got to the restaurant. The decor is very pleasant, immaculately clean and the staff knowledgeable pleasant and can speak good English. The snails to start were delicious, the sirloin steak incredible and the local wine that was proposed, a gold medal Czech wine from Andre, superb. I really can't wait to return. Brilliant.

The meat was out standing and everything at a reasonable price. The place is not that good looking but with the amazing food, the restaurant is defiantly worth a visit.
