We were quite disappointed with this restaurant having read some very good reviews on Trip Advisor. True, the atmosphere was good and it was fairly full with young families when we went early one evening but the room itself was shabby and although the waiter was very friendly and helpful, the food was very average. The menu only had one fish dish which was the day's special and I realise this is not uncommon for restaurants in Prague as almost everything is geared to meat eaters. The fish in question which was billed as 'cod' was small, thin and grey. I had the celeriac Suisse as an accompaniment and it was extremely salty. My partner had the goose which looked (and apparently tasted) as if it had lived just a bit too long, with dumplings which turned out to be made of polenta. Nothing wrong with that I suppose but the whole meal was rather dull. It was our first experience of Czech food and not a particularly good one. I'm not sure why some reviewers managed to have so much food for apparently so little money because our two courses with two drinks came to just over £30 not particularly cheap, especially for Eastern Europe. My advice, give it a miss.
