“YOU MUST EAT HERE- Best meal of 2011”
Reviewed September 12, 2011

We adored this restaurant. From it's cozy feel with candles literally burning all around you, it was one of the best atmospheres I've ever encountered. Having traveled all over the world- you always dream of places like this. The food here is amazing! We had a large group and we were all extremely impressed with the cuisine. Make sure to get the goat cheese appetizer- I still dream about it. You will love it!

“Avoid - incredible 2.5 hour wait and rude staff, food NOT worth waiting for...”
Reviewed January 29, 2010

We had booked this restaurant more than a week in advance. Our party of about 20 where seated in different nooks and crannies, they even suggested one of us sit alone at a table...

The venue is very rustic with the old cellar look, crossed swords and candles burning - lighting up the beuatiful brick walls. You can't take that away from them.

The staff was slow and unfocused, and after taking our orders we had an antagonizing 2.5 hour wait for the food. (some had to wait even longer) When we asked how long we would have to wait, the staff were unapologetic and rude. "Yeah, we know, but you'll just have to wait!" - said with a sneer. No excuse, no offer to provide beverages on the house or anything.

When the food finally arrived, it was portioned out in chunks. One table first, then the second after 30 mins, the a third table after another 45 mins- 1 hour. An effective way to splinter the group. The evening was ruined and the different tables (now separated in time with over an hour) dispersed. When we left, the last table in the group hadn't received their food!

The food was traditional Czech food, whitch means meat and vegetables. It would've been ok at any other restaurant, but after waiting so long it was just disappointing.

Again - the unapologetic and sneering attitude added insult to injury. Handling a big group is challenging but definitely something they should be able to handle.

This is a place that lives off its rustic look and location, nothing else. Be warned.

“Just Beautiful”
Reviewed May 27, 2009

It was beautiful, the food and the decor. We had good service and tried multiple dishes since there were six of us that went to it. I would go ahead in a heartbeat. I wish we had one in the U.S. We took multiple pictures of the interior and of the food. It was just amazing. Go here when you visit Prague, you will not regret it!!!
