Very good atmosphere. The staff is very friendly, handled very well with the English, and a girl, "Kathe" spoke Spanish. Every night has a different activity integration to meet the rest of the guests, cook a typical dish in a group or something else Josef Kristian Mejstrik hand. Who also makes a night on the town for 1 eruo, starting from the hostel to the castle through various points of interest, makes it very enjoyable and fun. And also learn about the city with a sort of quiz. It's a fun activity and fully recommended. https://www.facebook.com/Prague.with.Kristian?fref=ts

This hostel is good. The only problem is that when we went it was in reconstruction. It is cheap and clean. The rooms are big. Prague is one of my favorite countries. I stayed here two nights and it was really cool. I met here really good people and we made a lot of friends.

Room Tip: Prague is one of the best countries in the world. This Hostel is good if you are staying a couple of...

The facility was secure, clean and well-run. The friendly staff offer an events calendar for travelers and the facility has free wi-fi. Cristian's free walking tour is a must! The value is good as you are 5 mins walk from Old Town Square but don't have to pay the high price for location. I will stay here again!

A friend and I stayed in a private room with two twin beds and a private bathroom on our recent trip to Prague. Overall this is a great hostel for budget conscious young travelers who don't mind basic amenities. The location is perfect: a five minute walk to the metro, ten minute walk to Old Town Square, and near lots of cafes and restaurants. We couldn't have picked a better location. Our room was very basic but clean and comfortable, and being on the 6th floor, we had no problems with noise at night. The hostel provides free internet and free computer access, plus a large and well-stocked (and clean!) kitchen, and lots of hang out space.

Hostel Downtown is a very good hostel if you are traveling alone or in a small group and want to meet young fellow travelers. Of all of the hostels we stayed on on our trip, Hostel Downtown's environment was the most conducive to socializing. The hostel has group events every night, led by Kristian. My friend and I participated in Kristian's night walk to Prague Castle, which was definitely one of the highlights of our Prague experience, and which introduced us to other guests at the hostel. I also partook in Kristian's dill soup making night, which was fun and introduced me to other guests that we later went sight seeing with.

The front desk staff are young and friendly and for the most part were pretty helpful with answering our questions.

If I was in Prague again and still on a budget, I would definitely stay at Hostel Downtown again.

I stayed for 3 nights in this hostel with four 20 year old friends and we had an amazing time! The hostel is located in the centre of Prague, very close to the most important sights and very close to the most popular clubs and bars. The staff was very friendly and the service is perfect! We had a private bathroom in a big room with a lot of space for the luggage, and it was also very quiet! On top of this, the breakfast was only €3 and the wifi works very good , so this hostel is certainly recommended!

Clean, nice looking with helpful and nice staff. I was pretty surprised that you can book a two bedroom room almost at the center of Prague(5 min from the old town, by foot). I would strongly recommend that hostel to everyone that wants to see Prauge for a reasonable price. Also, they serve awesome breakfasts for a fair price.

I stayed there for two nights in a double private dorm (bath was on the outside but exclusive for the room) which I shared with a friend of mine, the best part I would say is very spacious for breakfast, staff is super friendly, Kate specially, lovely girl, she even speaks Spanish!
Location could not be better, close to metro station, closer to tram to go to many if the important places in the city, all in all I would definitely stay there again!

The only drawback is the toilet, too constrained, I could not sit straight :s!
