“Good beer, good food”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

This is the Czech classic, Pilsner beer from the tank and really living atmosphere. In this part of Prague one of the best options to go. Perfect place for even company meetings , as you can reserve the small halls for yourselve.

“Very friendly service and great value.”
Reviewed September 30, 2013

At first I was worried when the waiter came out to welcome us while we were looking at the menu in the window. I usually take that as a sign of desperation but luckily I was wrong. With an extensive and cheap traditional Czech menu, this place has something for everyone. We had steak and duck, both of which were beautifully prepared and plentiful, as well as being excellent value for money. We had just about enough room left for their amazing strawberry, chocolate and vanilla cheesecake (described by our waiter as a typically English choice!).

Our waiter was friendly without being overbearing and obviously a good English speaker having spent some time in the UK. He was so impressed with our tip that he shook our hands and made us feel very welcome indeed!

With such a handy location near the Nový Smíchov shopping centre and Andel Metro station, this is perfect for anyone staying in the area or even passing through on the way to the centre. I can't recommend it more highly!

“Great place for Czech food”
Reviewed August 18, 2013 via mobile

Have been in Prague several times and first time was in the 15 years ago. Back then it was basically dropping in anywhere and you would get great food for good value. Unfortunately the standard has dropped with so many new restaurants opened to cater the tourist boom. A good way to avoid rip off places is to ask the locals where they would eat. Restaurant Andel was one suggestion from a local who recommended this place if you want to taste Czech food. And she was totally right, the food was really good and came in big portions. We weren't able to try out too many dishes but we definitely will come back again to try other dishes. Good food and great service.

Really good czech food. Amazing is also their small bowling room in the dungeon. Also their nonsmoking section is kind really nice.
