A fine example of a boutique hotel.
Much used by the locals, there was a wedding reception the night we arrived.
No complaints about any noise, the music stopped at 1130.
The rooms are a mixture of ancient and modern, with plenty of room. Our room was at the front of the building and more of a suite that a room. I understand the more modern rooms are equally spacious.
What a lovely and quiet town even on a Saturday night. The triple glazing helps as well,
The most noise was from vehicles driving over the cobble stones.
Who need speed bumps, install cobbles.

Room tip: Rooms facing the main road are interesting

This is a lovely hotel very close to many attractions. The room we had was huge, with a separate entrance hallway, very large bathroom, and gorgeous hand painted beamed ceiling.
We usually stay in 4-5* hotels, but this hotel was beyond MY expectations of a 3*
The staff were incredibly friendly, the breakfast was enjoyable.
We had a truly fantastic meal in the restaurant, with authentic Czech meals, our first night there.
The only downside was the shower didn't have a curtain, and water was all over the floor. However they quickly brought us towels to mop it up. There was a kettle in the room with tea/coffee and 2 bottles of water free. Many 4-5* hotels charge gor the water.
I was very happy with all aspects of this hotel, and would absolutely stay there again.
Wonderful gem in Kutna Hora

This inn is good value for the money. A short taxi ride from the main train station, it is in a main street just at the edge of the old town with everything you want to see within easy walking distance. It is also a quick walk to the bus stop you'll want for visiting the Sedlec Ossuary.

The room was clean and large. However the twin bed mattress was extremely thin, so I took the one off the other twin in the room and put it on top. Problem solved. No air conditioning. There is a lift. There is no kettle in the room, although breakfast starts at 7:00. There is a restaurant and it is quite good. I believe reception is staffed around the clock. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

The location is good. Hotel itself is so much renovated inside that the old building feeling really disappears when in room. And beware - at least our room was carpeted which is quite tricky for many suffering respiratory problems and allergies.

Hotel Opat lies in excellent location - almost every historical building is one-two streets away. There are restaurants and shops in vicinity but if you don't want to you don't have to eat outside. The hotel restaurant is of great quality - food is tasty and prices are standard.

Staff is really nice and helpful, service in overall is great. Rooms are clean and furnished according to the overall style of the hotel. It means you have a bed, a table with seats, couple of cabinets/closets and a TV. TV has about 5 channels, including BBC. When you stay in Kutna Hora you don't need a TV, believe me.:) You also get a free bottle of water per person each day, that was really pleasing. But the rooms don't have minibar or a safe. My only complaint would be about the bed. The mattress is really hard. That was really uncomfortable after two nights and it's a real shame because overally the stay was pretty awesome.

There's a free wi-fi in the hotel with excellent signal and free hotel parking so that's a plus too.:)

Overally I would recommend Hotel Opat, I enjoyed my stay and it's a great place for a short term visit (because of the mattress).
