It is so special, especilly the different types of Becherovska. I enjoyed mostly the one with honey. Eventhough that many will not like the water taste very much, but is is one of the most important and secret ingredients of the factory. You will taste the originality and tradition. Not to miss.

“Local color - Tremendously enjoyable.”
Reviewed May 11, 2012

The museum details the exalted history of the Czech national digestif "Becherovka" - with Disney-like life size dioramas of the history and production of the beverage. Much is made of the "secret" recipe and how good it is for your health. The daughter of the founder is touted as an example - she had the recommended two shots per day and lived well into her 90's (although as one of our fellow tourists commented "Who knows how long she would have lived if she hadn't had it!"). There is a tasting at the end and opportunities to buy new varieties that are not available for sale outside the Czech Republic. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, spoke excellent English and was every inch the company representative. We had a blast and highly recommend this attraction.

“Great fun, and interesting”
Reviewed April 11, 2012

We had to book ahead as there aren't English tours every day, but this was fun (and not just because of the tastings that are part of the experience). The guide talks you through the history of Becherovka and the story of the family, and the film you watch while enjoying the product is very well produced. And then there's the shop of course - Becherovka comes in hand-luggage friendly 100ml bottles, and we also splashed out on a set of the small china shot cups that are unique and very pretty.

“My Favorite City in Europe!”
Reviewed March 29, 2012

Karlovy Vary is a wonderful little place that has an atmosphere like no other. A claming little place that allows you to forget about things that are causing you stress. The colors, the people and the trees full of birds. Walking hand in hand with my beautiful wife, no matter the weather. This is my place. Stop by the Jan Becher Museum while you are there. The Lemon and Cordial Becherovka is great. Not a big fan of the original.
