Getting to this penzion from the railway station is a long, hilly, 2km walk, so allow about an hour. We later learnt a taxi fare should cost about 150-200 Koruna – you may have to bargain with the driver as there are often no meters in Czech taxis. The owner wasn’t present when we arrived, and the business next door (part of the same building) wouldn’t ring him for us. As we were about to call, his father turned up and rang his son who came over (from where?) in a couple of minutes. It was the only time we saw him. He was polite but hadn’t previously responded to emails when we had queries. At the end of our stay, he organised a taxi (with a meter) for us to travel from his pension to the railway station – 150 CZK ($A7.50). Penzion Weber is fine, although nothing out of the ordinary. The apartment we stayed in was quite large; approx. 5metres x 6 metres. There’s a shared kitchen, and it’s about 5 minutes’ walk to the city square. Considering the price we paid, it was good accommodation, and certainly, value for money. We were in room no.1, and we found that the wifi worked very well when we were next to the wall to the adjoining kitchen. The room has no air conditioning or hair dryer. I liked the bed – it was hardish – which my wife doesn’t like, so he couldn’t win there.

Room Tip: For good wifi, our room no.1 seemed ok. Just have your PC, etc., near the wall adjoining the kitche...

We stayed for one night so we could take in the castle complex. On the website it's listed as 5min from the main square but it's more like 15minutes away. There are many, many places that are way closer than where we stayed. As previously mentioned, the host is never around (or very hard to find) so hopefully you don't need anything from them. Our room was clean but there were 2 bulbs burnt out in the bathroom and bedroom and the towels are very thin and extremely rough so you're probably better off bringing your own. There is no locked area for you to store your luggage after you check out so be prepared for that. On a whole it was okay, nothing special, and the website photos exaggerate how nice the rooms are.

The pension is only a short walk from the center of the small town. The rooms are cozy and clean, the hosts don't disturb you at all (what's more, sometimes they're hard to find).
Parking wasn't a problem, there was always space right in front of the building.
The town is a gem, by the way.

Stayed for two nights just this past week. Very clean, spacious 3-bed room with walk in-closet, easily accessible kitchen/common area. We even got a beautiful patio area but it was too cold to hang around for long outside. The location really can't be beat, as others have mentioned.

My only complaints would be that check-in was slightly confusing as we arrived on a Sunday, so there was no reception and the salon next door was also closed. We had to hail a passerby to call the owner and let us in. Wifi was also mostly accessible in the common areas/kitchen but not directly in our rooms.

We were very pleased with our stay at Penzion Weber. The room was comfortable and extremely clean, with a strong shower. The kitchen facility, located adjacent to the room, is fully equipped and was perfect for our breakfasts. There are grocery stores and a bakery just down the street. We enjoyed being away from the busy part of town, and did not at all mind the walk.

We arrived at Penzion Weber having travelled to Cesky Krumlov from Prague on the bus. A 15 minute walk from the bus station saw us at the door to the guest house on a picturesque, quiet street.
As with most of this type of accomodation we needed to call the owner to alert him we were there, where he arrived within 10 minutes and showed us into the house. He was very helpful, spoke enough English to make up for our appalling Czech and gave some reliable suggestions on where to eat and things to see.

The accomodation is on the first floor and hence there is a small flight of steps to carry luggage upstairs to the room. Once upstairs the room was spacious, well lit and comfortable. The en-suite bathroom was also well appointed and clean, although lacked a hair drier and we did run out of hot water - although this was after a long shower so cannot really be held against the house.

The Walk to the centre of Cesky Krumlov took less than 10 minutes, although if you are of lesser mobility it should be mentioned that the road climbs gently from Penzion Weber toward the town centre, followed by a flight of steps that descend and bring you out at a bridge crossing into the old town area.

We had two very good sleeps while here, with almost no noise in the surrounding area. Breakfast was, in our opinion, a good value option. 4 Euros equivilent found us with a well presented array of cheeses, meats and bread, there being pastries the first day and boiled eggs the next. This was presented in the communal eating/kitchen area at the time of our choosing, together with fresh coffee and hot berry juice. The kitchen also contained a fridge, hob and all utensils, crockery etc to make your own food should one wish.

Overall we left very impressed by this little guest house and the friendly manner of the owner. We would definitely return and have no hesitation in recommending it!

Room Tip: There are only a few rooms and we had room number one. The guests we spoke with in room two also se...

Penzion Weber is outside of the main town, but is a really convenient place to stay. The rooms are quite small, but the bathroom is good with an excellent shower. The beds were very comfortable and you get enough towels to use. The Penzion is fully equipped and you have full access of the kitchen if you require it. Breakfast is available for an extra cost, but it is easy enough to either buy breakfast in town or buy your own food and store it in the kitchen. The room is your own for the duration of the stay and storage is a bit limited, but for a short stay this isn't a problem. There could be a difficulty accessing the Penzion as there is a flight of stairs up to the rooms if you have mobility difficulties or very large or heavy bags.

Room Tip: All the rooms are equally accessible and have the same access to the kitchen.
