After riding the bus from Prague, we were pleased to find out our apartment was not very far from the bus stop. A bit far for our 89 year old mother, but still close enough. We did have a taxi drop us off on the return trip!
As others have mentioned, we loved the location and the clean comfortable lodging. The patio was delightful. A treat for us was having a tour with the owner, George. He was very knowledgeable and tailored the tour for us....a very nice time.

We enjoyed our visit here.
Stayed for one night on the 1st floor apartment with 2 bedrooms. There was a sitting area in the living room and small kitchen area. Very clean, comfortable and cute apartment, Bathroom was a little tight in this apartment, but manageable.
No view for this apt that faced the street, however fortunately it was quiet at night.
The owner Jiri is a nice person who is friendly and helpful. He cares about the comfort of the guests,
They gave us two good restaurant recommendations and we ate at the vegetarian one which was delightful. We would stay here again and would recommend this place.

We are staying at Apartment 3 and are loving it. I look out of the window early in the morning and at night and see the castle tower in the light and in the dark. Yes, you can see the castle tower from many places in Krumlov, but it's quite amazing to return to your apartment every day and to be able to get an even better view of the castle from your sitting room and bedroom in Castle View Apartments. Spoil yourself and book the bigger apartments with castle view, definitely. There are only two of us and I was worried whether it would be pointless to book Apartment 3 with two bedrooms. We are happy we booked this apartment for the view. It's very spacious and comfy. No regrets at all. Location of the apartments is right in the centre, which means we could come back to take a short break during the day and go out again whenever we wanted to. The location makes everything easier. The tourist information centre is two minutes away. The main square likewise. Manager Jiri is a reliable and responsible man. He answers emails very quickly. I'm so thankful and so pleased when he came to us at 10 p.m. today after I informed him the wifi wasn't working. He came and checked things out. Wifi is now functioning very well.
We went all the way up to the castle tower today and right there from the top we could see where our apartment was!
Try food and beer at Na Louzi restaurant. Everything is just a short walk away. Walk around, explore and enjoy!
The main church is beautiful and very close to Castle View Apartments. Entry is free. Do go there if you enjoy visiting churches.
Try to book early so that you could have the apartment you like most!
Tip: There's no lift so you may want one of the ground floor apartments if you don't want to carry your luggage up the stairs.
There's a DVD player in our apartment so you could bring a DVD in case you want to spend an evening inside the apartment.

You must go to Cesky Krumlov and stay overnight...our 3 nights were too little, actually. And you must stay here in Apartment 5, ground floor castle view. It was just the two of us and it was still worth every penny. Why #5? No stairs, comfortable, charming, spacious (2 bedrooms, living room, and kitchen) and most gloriously of all, a beautiful private balcony with 4 chairs and a table with the most fantastic view of the castle. It is at the back of the hotel so you don't overlook the restaurant that others complained about in terms of noise. we spent a lot of time on that balcony, magic time and romantic time...and we've been married 38 years!) And then there is Jiri. He is the manager and also an official guide for Krumlov. Do arrange to take his private tour. He is outstandingly knowledgeable, personable, able to convey info in a most interesting way, and helpful too. Despite this, the cost is more than reasonable!

Room Tip: # 5 ground floor castle view for it's terrace, views, no stairs, quietness, and spaciousness

We stayed at Castleview for two nights. There were four of us and we chose the patio apartment. It was lovely and spacious. Staff was competent and breakfast--at a hotel a few paces away--was very good. Don't miss the rafting. We did the 5 hour trip from Rzomberg and--aided by the floating bars--laughed all the way.

I found this place through Rick Steves. I'm not sure I would stay here again, however, at least not in the room we had. Positives -- place seems well-run. Polite service. Check-in and check -out was easy. Breakfast in a local hotel was good. When we had to leave early, they arranged for us to eat at another hotel that had earlier breakfast service. Room had good tourist info provided by owner. Room was neat and had welcoming fruit and chocolate. Small kitchen was well-equipped. Negatives -- our room was on the top floor and was right above the outdoor seating for a popular restaurant. Loud people were outside drinking and talking late at night. With the window closed, the noise was manageable. But this attic room would get warm pretty easily and I think people would have a very difficult time sleeping if they had windows open. Another problem with the room was that it is very easy to bump your head getting in and out of the bed, which was draped with fabric to disguise the attic eaves. Lighting in the room at night was not the greatest. Perhaps one's experience might be different in another room.

Room Tip: I would not choose a room that had bedrooms overlooking the outdoor seating of the restaurant.

Everything you read about this place, whether on Tripadvisor or in Rick Steves or any other guidebook is true. Our apartment was clean and well-appointed and airy and nicely decorated. The staff, and especially Jiri and his wife, were very friendly and helpful. Cesky Krumlov is interesting and fun.

Perhaps more important than all of that is our experience after we left. We bought some beautiful Czech glass in a store and arranged to have it mailed to us. Paid the cost of the glass and mailing and insurance. When it arrived it was broken so we emailed the store and heard nothing. The only contact we have in Cesky Krumlov is Jiri, so I emailed him and asked if he might contact the store. I told him in my message that we could be asking too much of him and if so he should just let us know and we'd be OK with that. An hour later he wrote back and said he'd contact the store - and he has, twice now. The problem is not yet resolved, but thanks to Jiri we feel that we have an advocate and a friend and that someone is looking out for us.

Way above the call of duty. Thank you Jiri!
