The food was really good, fresh and tasty. Very professional staff, helpful and always nice. I like the starter (asparagus variations) with very good Austrian wine. The main course (chicken) was very tasty and fresh.

Cesky Krumlov is an amazingly picturesque city. Unfortunately, the resultant throngs of tourists seem to have caused a bit of a lapse to detail with many of the local restaurants.

This is not the case at Le Jardin. My son and I decided to enjoy an upscale restaurant and picked Le Jardin in the hope that we'd get a nice meal.

Instead, we got a wonderful meal.

We started with a Caesar salad and their asparagus dish.

The Caesar salad was well made with quality Parmesan cheese, nice anchovies and a tasty, but not overpowering dressing.

The Asparagus dish with poached eggs and ham was extremely delicious. We could have easily ordered another.

For our next course we both had the French Onion soup. Very nicely done. An excellent broth with a nice hint of wine. The Gruyere cheese and bread at the top were properly broiled and tasty.

For mains my son had the leg of duck. And I had the pork tenderloin.

My son's dish was very flavorful. (So he said, he wouldn't share).

My pork tenderloin was nicely prepared. Perfectly cooked and served with a nice medley of vegatables (that were also nicely done..texture and flavor intact).

To wrap things up we each had Creme Brulee. It's served with blueberries, strawberries and chocolate crumbs (from a brownie perhaps). Delicious.

In all an absolutely memorable meal in a cozy setting. Service is attentive without being intrusive.

Best indication of quality? We booked a second night on our way out.

Enjoy.

When I walked into this place and thought "oh, this lovely". The restaurant is really pretty, it has a French cave kind of feel to it.
I ordered the duck confit. The presentation was very nice. I would say that the meal was good, but not excellent. The duck came with apple-sauerkraut, and a type of dumpling, I've never had before.
The duck was just slightly dry, and dumpling was bland, but I did I love sauerkraut.
If I had the opportunity, I might go back for the atmosphere.-very romantic.

What a special night. The restaurant of six tables is like a grotto contrasted by crisp white tablecloths and the intimacy of a singular white candle. My husband and I share the asparagus starter of two kinds of asparagus, poached egg, thin ham formed into a flower and hollandaise sauce. Delicious. That could have been dinner right there. He had French soup served in a tureen and I had the Caesar salad. He enjoyed his soup and said it wasn't too cheese laden. My salad was quite large with quite a few sardines. He had the rack of lamb beautifully presented and I the breast of chicken cooked to perfection. All very proud tasty. He had the crime brûlée and enjoyed. Service was white glove. I can see why Le Jardin is the #1 restaurant in Cesky Krumlov!
