A great location, and a huge super clean and warm room. Free car parking and good reasonably-priced breakfast.

Staff are friendly and really helpful, except for the woman who checked us out. Maybe she’d woken up on the wrong side of the bed!

I would stay again, but definitely check if the roadworks are ongoing as they are noisy & right outside.

This place has some very real advantages, and some things we found very frustrating. Let me start out with what we liked:

The Good -- Location. It is an easy walk into the main tourist areas. Coming back will require some stairs but it's not a long walk at all.
The room itself was very large and was very clean.
The bathroom was excellent and recently renovated.
Free parking for a couple of cars at least.

The Bad -- we arrived around 5 or 6 in the evening and the place seemed abandoned. We thought maybe it had closed or something. We had been traveling for almost two weeks and were not checking our email at all. We also did not have the ability to make phone calls in the Czech Republic without being charged a hefty price for international dialing. Anyway, we finally found a small note saying that the proprietors had been trying to reach us to find out what time we were arriving. They had been emailing for a couple of days. Well, as noted we weren't checking emails while traveling. The note said to call the proprietor for instructions to enter the building. At this point in our travels, we had about 2 minutes left for international calling so I had to use those last 2 minutes to call, and ask her to VERY QUICKLY tell me how to get in. Honestly, we considered just leaving since the room had not been paid for yet and they did not take any credit card information to hold the room. Instead, we luckily got through on the first call and were told how to get in. Once inside, the room was excellent. But this process was very frustrating.

My question - why not tell us when booking the room that we needed to notify them of our arrival time in order to be let in. What if I had no way of making a call in a foreign country? I had emailed with the owner (I think it was the owner) back and forth several times to book - I think we should have been told about this arrangement then so we knew that there was not a staffed front desk and that we would need instructions for entering.

We were very happy with our short stay here, it is a charming place, full of character, and we would gladly stay here again if we return to Cesky Krumlov.

The lady who checked us in was very nice, and she gave us lots of information, including recommendations for restaurants.

The room was nice size and modern, it was built into the roof with sloping ceilings, one slight negative was that we found the room to be quite cold, even though the radiator was nice and hot, either the radiator could not cope with such a large space or the room was lacking insulation and the heat was just getting lost. The bathroom was modern and clean and had a great shower, the heated floor in the bathroom was especially nice.

Breakfast downstairs in the basement was very nice, eggs cooked freshly to your preference.

We had 3 to 4 hours after check out before our bus back to Prague, and it was great that we were able to securely store our luggage for a few hours, instead of having to wheel them around the cobbled streets.

Overall, highly recommended, and I hope we get the chance to stay here again.

Neat and tidy rooms in an amazing quite location, just outside the city centre but just a few minutes walk away. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Great to have free car parking on site. Would recommend.

This property is situated just across a bridge south and up a hill from the main tourist core of Cesky Krumlov. It is a perfect location to avoid the noise and the heavy tourist crowds. We had a top floor room, which had small windows with spectacular views. There are two sets of steps to get to the room, and large steps to elevated floors between the bathroom and bed. There are also some parts of the ceiling that are low. Those unusual room characteristics in that top floor room were not a problem for us, but important to realize for someone who isn’t agile. The only problems we had were minor, which included a loose/damaged toilet seat and an odor in the room upon arrival that we discovered to be urine behind the toilet - once we cleaned in the room smelled fine.

The people there are super friendly, greeting us and making sure we were accommodated. The breakfast had many choices including cooked to order eggs.
