“Dinner next to the rapids”

Good Czech fare, with a mediveil atmosphere. A one minute walk from the Dvorak Hotel along the river.

“Fun place!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 2, 2013 via mobile

We ended up at this restaurant while looking for a place to eat on the water. What a find! It was different than the other restaurants around there since it was based on the bohemian traditions. We ordered the bohemian rabbit feast and loved it! It came with rabbit two ways, plus cabbage with a yogurt sauce, a buckwheat pancake and a corn casserole- type side, plus more that I can't remember. All was so tasty and it was fun to share! We had mead after dinner and loved it. Overall a fun, different place to go and totally worth it!

“Traditional Bohemian for Vegetarians Too”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 27, 2013

Next door to the popular Laibon, this place has a whole section of the menu devoted to non-meat dishes. Appropriate, as they are dedicated to the cuisine of medieval peasantry which depended on a lot of grains & herbs. We enjoyed a millet cheese casserole with raw cabbage salad and herbed potato pancakes with sauerkraut. They serve the local brewery beer, Eggenberg. Good service, beautiful terrace overlooking the river and looking up to the castle. Excellent choice for a taste of "traditional" food without the meat -- but plenty of hearty meat-filled choices as well.

“Traditional Czech food, good view, good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2013

We were there on a rainy Friday evening, at the terrace by the river. Was chilly, heaters were on, small showers and running river, local wine served in old-style traditional dishes... and you couldn't wish for more for a relaxing dinner :) Food was really typical Czech , we had two of those house specialties (pheasant & rabbit) - mix of meat/veg/dumplings etc. I would say it's a very good value for the prices they have. Good place for people who'd like to try the Czech food. Perfect view to the bridge&castle. The waitress was a little bit all over the place and bit slow too, but well, happens. It might've been part of the relaxing atmosphere they had. Nothing to complain really. Worth trying.
