My new husband and I went to Secret Harbour in St. Thomas 9/24/13 - 10/2/13. This place has it all! We visited other resorts on the island and the Secret Harbour was by far the best! The best view, many amenities - snorkeling, paddle boarding, kayaking, charters, sailing, casual and fine dining, great rooms! From the calmest water (without sea urchins in the swimming areas) to the wonderful staff members and the absolute BEST food (of our entire trip) at the restaurant and beach bar! Brian at the beach bar was wonderful and full of great information about the island and where to go and what to do! Dylan from the restaurant was wonderful and an excellent server! Very knowledgeable about the food and will even take your picture, just ask! Chris the new GM at the restaurant is great! Very friendly and down-to-earth! Great guy! Captain Jim of the Twilight Rodeo and the Jester as well as his first mate, Mal, made for the best and most memorable journey on our trip!!! We spent the day with them on the Twilight Rodeo.....and enjoyed a fantastic lunch prepared by the Captain himself! When we go back we will be staying at the Secret Harbour! The location is great in that it is off the beaten path, close to the ferry dock to St. John and also close to Havensight or Charlotte Amalie where shopping is. The condo was perfect and modern and ALL of the staff was friendly and helpful! I definitely recommend the Secret Harbour to anyone!!!

Room Tip: Get a beachfront room.....one bedroom suite (for 2 people) is perfect! We had the first floor so no climbing any stairs...just walk right out your patio on to the sand!

This place has it all...great beach, friendly staff, excellent restaurants, and beautiful scenery!! I stayed in an oceanfront room and found it to be very accommodating. Large room, comfortable bed and a beautiful view.

We took our first trip to the USVI this year. We stayed at the Secret Harbour From 9-18-2013 to 9-26-2013. We were in beach front condo number 125. When we first arrived the staff made us feel right at home. The condo was beautiful, up to date and very comfortable with every thing we could possibly need to make our stay a memorable one. Margaret and Rhonda at the front desk made us feel so welcome. Will on the beach took the time to answer all our questions and recommended some nice local places for a bite to eat. Our room staff Gabriella and Clementine always greeted us with a smile and did their very best to make us feel welcome. Even our drivers made us feel right at home. Our favorite driver Stanley took us on a tour of the island and filled us in on all the history of the island. After the tour he took us to a lunch truck per our request to try some of the local fare. It was my favorite meal on the island. The snorkeling at the harbour was amazing! We will defiantly be going back to the Secret Harbour. I cannot say enough about the staff at the Secret Harbour. They made us feel like Vip's our entire stay.

Room Tip: We stayed in 125 and loved it!

Secret Harbour, once again, does not disappoint! Once you try it, there is no turning back. Secret Harbour offers all: you can see just about any marine life, just get out of the beach chair! Octopus, sharks(nice kind:) ), starfish, turtles, etc., you can paddle board and kayak....
fine dining, casual dining,(good food, but other places a bit tastier if you don´t mind traveling to them: of note, XO in Red Hook!!! )
spa/massage (not to be missed!!!)
But most of all the resort, itself! It is minutes from Red Hook, ferries, day sails. Can´t beat the natural beauty that surrounds it, the clean, comfortable, eveything ya need accommodations so, if you are looking to really relax, soak up the sun, and leave all worries behind, it just doesn´t get any better than this!

Room Tip: Ask for an updated room.

My husband and I stayed at secret harbour resort September 3-6 2013. Our first impression of our ocean front room was that it was pretty large. The bathroom was the largest hotel bathroom we had ever seen. It had two showers and a tub. With that said, this room needs major updating! The bed was very stiff and the sheets were very itchy. The shower could use to be retiled as well. The room was very affordable, so I guess you get what you pay for.
We had some bad weather while we were there and lost power twice. We were only without power a few seconds before the generators kicked on, which was good.

The beach was very nice! Crystal clear waters and lots of fish! Plenty of beach chairs and towels. There was also a waitress to get you drinks and food from the Cruzan beach bar.

We were in town for my sister in laws wedding. The sunset grille hosted the rehearsal dinner and catered the wedding reception. The food was very very good for both. The rehearsal dinner was at the resort on their outside patio. We all agreed it was a very nice evening. The one thing we would suggest is to add some fans. It was very hot and the mosquitos were horrible! If there were a couple large fans, it would have made a world of difference!
The catering staff who came and did the wedding were very professional and very clean! The came to a rented beach house set everything up, cooked excellent food and cleaned up like they were never there. I Highly recommend their services!

I would also like to add a little information about getting around the island. If you stay at secret harbour the average taxi ride each way to Red Hook is $5.00. Per person...Charlotte Amalie it's $11.00 per person. You usually have to take a taxi everywhere unless you plan on renting a car. The roads are very narrow with lots of twists and hills. There are no side walks and with the hills walking anywhere is much harder then you would think.

If you plan on going in September, double check with all the restaurants you are planning on going to. With September being off season, a lot of the restaurants are closed. I would highly recommend The Cellar restaurant in Red Hook. Excellent food! Xo is also a good place to get a drink!
