The gentle sound of the waves as we arrived late in the evening set the tone for our wonderful stay at Jeeva Klui. Starting from collection from the airport, the people were very friendly and couldn't be more caring. The setting was wonderful and the rooms well appointed; very comfortable bed; great balcony with a huge day bed. The food was very good, and service friendly and efficient. Lovely large pool. It is a little way outside Sengiggi and all the noise and bustle, very peaceful. The only slight complaint was about the concierge service. Front desk staff seemed to change frequently and requests weren't always actioned. For example, we had requested a transfer to Gili Meno and after several reminders and despite paying a good price we were taken to a beach near Bangsal and a very rough and ready boat manned by teenagers who just wanted to get there as fast as they could despite the discomfort. That aside, can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Most rooms have views of the beach and the sunset but inevitabley those at the beachfront have the best views.

We stayed at the Jeeva Klui in July 2011 for our honeymoon for 7 nights, the price was extremely reasonable and the service was top notch! We had a pool villa which was relatively spacious, with an area outside to sit and a nice large pool, although we ate at various places in Sengiggi and around Lombok the food at the resort was very good and attractively priced compared to what you'd paid in Sengiggi, the staff were extremely pleasant and friendly and always had a smile on their faces whenever we came across them.

We never came across any bugs or creepy crawleys and the room was regularly sprayed and kept clean and tidy. At the time we stayed, construction work was going on for a set of new villas but we did not find that the noise disturbed us. The Wifi in the rooms was a nice touch, though we did try to refrain from any internet as we were here to enjoy ourselves and spend time with each other. The beach is nice and clean, although probably not the most amazing beach in Lombok but the pagoda's overlooking the beach were a great place to have some lunch, or to sit and watch the sunset. A massive thumbs up.

Room Tip: Pool villa was great for us, we couldn't find our room on the Jeeva Klui website but managed to book it through Expedia even though Jeeva Klui had said that it was all booked out for our dates! We also had a bit of trouble with communicating via email before we arrived, I guess due to the time zone difference

Jeeva Klui holds a special place in my heart, my partner and I chose this place as it seemed to have everything that we needed as a holiday destination, we were not disappointed , from the moment we arrived at the Airport where Edi our driver greeted us with a warm and friendly smile I was excited at the anticipation at arriving at our destination, we were greeted by the lovely front of house staff who gave us a cooling drink and cold towel, then shown to our beach front villa which was immaculate and even had an outside shower, it was late when we arrived so when we woke up the next morning we really didn't expect it to be so beautiful, we booked to stay for 11 nights and were glad we had picked the beach front Villa as there were uninterrupted views of the ocean, the highlight (and there were so many) of the holiday for me was the food at Jeeva it was fabulous, the breakfast menu is extensive and all cooked fresh to order, I went down the whole menu and tried everything, Tapas throughout the day is a great idea as you can snack to your hearts content and the evening menu is a delight, we even created our own menu one night and Ruslan the chef and his staff created us something really special . A huge thank you to , Ayu, Yuna, Makri, Sami, Dedi, Andy, Yayat, Aris and all the rest of the gang for making every trip to the restaurant a great one, we can't thank you enough for your exceptional hospitality, nothing was too much trouble, If you feel really lazy then treat yourself to room service and enjoy sitting outside your villa at sunset.
Spa treatments were also fantastic and they were all done with the upmost privacy at the newly opened Spa, very relaxing and highly recommended. I loved the turndown service in the evening always a very nice touch, Jeeva Klui is a tightly run ship, Marino the manager is always around making sure everything is spot on for his guests and if there are any issues they get dealt with in the most efficient way, as we found out when our Air con stopped working, the maintenance guys were there within minutes and fixed it leaving our room clean and tidy after themselves.
We did go out a couple of times, the Gili isles are worth a visit if you like diving, Gili meno was the nicest as it was very quiet. You can hire your own boat for the day to take you over.

All in all If you want a holiday where you are totally looked after in every-way then this is the place you won't be disappointed .

Room Tip: Book a beach front villa for fantastic views of the ocean

My husband and I were there counting down to 2012. It was our honeymoon trip. I liked the location of the resort as it's away from the busy stretch. Our room faced the sea. It's nice to listen to the sea..we had our massage at the spa too. Services were very goodand it's so therapeutic to listen to the waves while having your massage.

I do find the quality of food abit not there but their services are good. Their room service is efficient and kept the rooms clean. I do find the A/C too weak though, especially when they hid the aircon unit inside some partition.

Overall, we've enjoyed our stay.

Jeeva Klui is a collection of one and two storey villas set on the seafront in Lombok. We stayed for four nights over New Year and had a very enjoyable stay.

Our villa was lovely, a great size and well appointed that was cleaned and sprayed for bugs twice a day. We thought the designer had done a great job in creating the front decking with day bed, bedroom, bathroom and outdoor shower spaces into separate areas, which made you almost feel like you were staying in a suite or small apartment.

Our villa didn't look out onto the ocean, but that wasn't a problem as we happily sat in one of the gazebos that overlooked the beach and sea, watching the sun set each night.

There were quite a few families staying there, as the villas lent themselves perfectly to housing more than one couple. The kids made excellent use of the pool area and with steps down to the beach, there was plenty to keep them occupied.

The restaurant was first class and they had obviously spent a lot on making the food a key part of the experience. They served an excellent, a la carte breakfast and a mix of local and international food for dinner. Between 3-5pm every day they also served free afternoon tea or coffee with a mix of fruit and cake - a really nice touch.

The only quibble we had was with New Year's Eve. We wanted to have room service and a relatively quiet night together before having a drink in a gazebo overlooking the ocean and watching the fireworks. However after our room service arrived, we were phoned and asked why were weren't attending the compulsory New Year's Eve buffet and party the hotel were laying on. This was the first we had heard about the compulsory nature of the evening, which was a bit disappointing. We talked to the front desk about this and in the end they agreed not to charge us for it - so all sorted in the end.

Jeeva Klui is about a five to ten minute drive from Senggigi, so is away from the hustle and bustle of Lombok's main tourist destination. This means that you need transport to get anywhere meaningful from the hotel, however they do provide a free car into the town for you. The front desk will book you any trip you need - we booked a day trip to the Gilis, where we snorkled with a turtle, and also a fast boat to Bali.

Overall, if I were to return to Lombok, I'd probably stay at the Jeeva Klui again - a combination of the lovely villas, views, fab food and friendly staff made this a very enjoyable trip.
