I'll keep this short as all the previous reviews say it all. This place is unpretentious, luxurious and deeply relaxing. My only criticism was that there is extensive building work going on and although we were promised this would be kept to a minimum, the sound of power tools every morning at 8.30pm spoilt the tranquility of this trip and meant our lovely outside space/daybed was unusable during the day.

Thank you for your review and your kind comments on Jeeva Klui. We would like to sincerely apologize for the disruption you experienced during your stay at Jeeva Klui due to the ongoing expansion and spa project. We are now entering into the final stages of the spa project and expect the new spa to open on June 10. That project has been noisier than expected due to its location on the hillside near the beach. We are also in the process of changing the stone deck in front of Wallace and adding new equipment in the kitchen. We expect these renovations to be completed by June 1. The noise levels should be reduced after that date. The overall expansion project should be completed by August 1. We do regret that the project noise bothered you, and other guests who have stayed with us during this period, and very much appreciate your positive review in spite of this annoyance and inconvenience.

Once again, thank you for your kind comments. We hope to see you again at Jeeva Klui and especially once the expansion is completed. We believe the new spa and suites will be extraordinary.

Jeeva Klui is gorgeous. There are many beachfront resorts and hotels, but Jeeva Klui is quite special. The setting can't be beat. Just 30 minute drive from the airport. The resort is elevated 1-1.5meter above its beachfront. Sitting anywhere in the resort pretty much guarantees you a view of the ocean. Get a beachfront suite, and you'll be rewarded with sweeping views of the ocean, framed with coconut trees, backed by green hills. It's a feast for the senses. You see the green trees, you see and hear the waves roll in, you feel the breeze.

With just 27 suites, the resort is the right size. It's not a super boutique villa, and very very far from a big box hotel. It took literally steps from our beachfront suite to cross the green grass and arrive at either the pool or the beach.

The sand is not the white sugar type. It's brown and soft, but strewn with pebbles. At low tide, you could walk about 20 meters out on the reef. When it's high tide, you see magnificent waves roll in. We snorkeled while there. It was low tide so we couldn't go past the reef.

The whole resort was very nicely designed. Chunky woods, terracotta tiles, textured bathroom floor. If you appreciate good design, you'll sigh a breath of relief to see artful touches everywhere in the resort.

I thought the food was very reasonably priced and quite tasty. Service was cheerful but yes, we did have to ask for some items repeatedly at the dinner table.

I spent just 1 night at Jeeva Klui. Would return in a heartbeat and preferably for 2-3 nights. Any longer, I do think I might get bored. But it is a lovely place and I hope it stays lovely for may years to come.

Room Tip: Get beachfront on ground level

I loved everything about this hotel except for a few quirks I had. First of all, the rooms were very beautiful; until I looked up and spotted the hideous ceiling. My second quirk was how long everything took to come out at dinner. Water took 30 minutes and when I tried to get some balsamic vinegar, I ended up getting it up myself after asking about 6 times. I loved everything else about this place though. The reef is pretty cool. I ended up seeing an eel and a pufferfish when I was snorkeling.

Thanks for the review! The reef is pretty cool and you can get some decent snorkeling there. It also provides a good lagoon area for swimming when the tide is low and especially during the dry season.

We would like to offer our apologies about the service you received in the restaurant. Your comments have been passed on to the restaurant staff for follow up. We will work to improve both the speed and consistency of our service levels. In the suites we have two different types of ceilings... the open peaked alang alang ceilings and on the lower floor of the two story villas we have the flat ceiling with bamboo weave imprints. We are sorry that the ceiling was not to your taste.

Once again, thank you for the review and your comments. We hope to see you again in Jeeva Klui sometime soon.. we will work to improve our service before you return! Sampai Jumpa!

Jeeva Klui is a modern resort that nurtures local architecture and tradition. The rooms are spacious, first class and unbelievably beautiful, the grounds immaculate, the pool view across to the beach is idyllic, but its most prized possession is the resort staff. From the moment you arrive at reception you are greeted by smiling, friendly and polite staff. From the restaurant, to housekeeping, to the gardener, they are a wonderful team and cannot do enough for their guests and are a credit to the owner of the Resort. We particularly would like to thank Ayu at the Waroeng Restaurant for her personal touch in attending to and getting to know guests and for her beautiful nature in promoting her culture. Ayu helped teach us some basic Indonesian language to converse with the local villagers and to also learn as a sign of respect to the people. We have found all of the staff willing to take time to answer any questions and share a laugh. This is a special location for an idyllic, relaxing holiday.

Great resort.
Pros: great rooms, small enough, beach to yourself, free wifi, garden, views, customer service. Breakfast jams are delicious.

Improvements that could make it even better: no spa/massage as yet (go to qunci resort, where massage is best in that area), restaurant is good but lacks daily specials or variety if you are staying a week or more, wifi could be boosted in places.

Thank you for your kind review! We apologize that the new spa is running behind schedule. We expect that we will be able to open the new spa in early June. The new spa is being built on the headlands to the south of the resort. All massage rooms will have open views of the beach and up the coast of Lombok. We believe the new spa will be beautiful and relaxing. It is unfortunate the spa was not yet completed when you were there.

Thank you as well for your comment on the restaurant. We agree with you and have recently introduced a series of rotating menus that change daily. We are also preparing a specials menu that will focus on Indonesian food. Finally, we are in the process of changing our internet provider to improve both the strength and speed of internet service.

Once again, we are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Jeeva Klui and hope to see again!

Finished our trip through Indonesia on Lombok, where we stayed in Jeeva Klui, a recently opened resort on the outskirts of Sengigi, to relax after a busy trip alon Bali, Flores and Java.

Were advised by a friend who stayed there to give it a try. If you want to relax after a long trip through Indonesia this is the spot to be. Only minor point is the sea which during our stay was a bit wild and quickly deep but still safe.

All the "Robinson Crusoe" cabins as they call it are made up on the outside of only natural materials. However, the inside is of top luxury and decoration. There are two great pro's for these cabins. All have sea view, and all have a terrace which can be approached by opening the sliding glass door over the full length of the room, making the space twice as big. Stunning and great idea of design!

The hotel's seaside is grass on the upper part with a small staircase (5 steps) to the sandy beach. Everywhere are relaxing beds and scattered on the beach are some small pavilions in which you can relax, enjoy the view and even have your private dinner with candle light.

The pool is of the type of overflowing giving the imagination it is linked to the sea. the setting with the chairs, pool and view at the seaside make it picture perfect; that's why I added a picture for this.

The restaurant is very good, with great attention payed to your wishes. Bit funny is the (apparently trained) way the staff tries to familiarize with you but it is pleasant and never intrusive. Serving of the dishes can take some time but to our opinion is worth while the waiting. Especially the Mud cake (what's in name?) as a desert takes time but you should try; freshly made with the chocolate still hot and melting when served.

During our stay they were extending the premises with two more cabins, at the same time renovating the Spa, being knocked down completely. As alternative they offered to have these service at your room.

Conclusion: perfect stay for a leisure and relaxed time, for making trips in the surroundings as a home base, for being pampered. Not so suitable for little kids if they like swimming in the sea

Room Tip: All rooms are perfect so no tip needed

Thank you for the review! We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. The new spa should be completed by early June, we are running a bit behind schedule, and the new suites will be done by August. We believe the resort will be even better when the new spa and suites are completed!

We have had a lot of rain in Lombok this year and the seas have been high. The cove in front of Jeeva Klui is protected by an offshore reef. Usually the water is calm in front of the hotel and you need to go past the reef or further North along the beach for rougher surf. In the last few weeks, however, the sea in front of Jeeva Klui has not been as calm as usual. Hopefully the weather will improve as we enter into the dry season!

Once again, thank you for the review and we hope to see you again at Jeeva Klui!
