A lovely get together with friends. Love the pretty china cups and saucers, and amazing teapots. Had a lovely toasted sandwich. Plenty big enough for me. Attentive service. Whiled away 2 hours with friends and although small establishment didn't feel pressure to leave. Lovely atmosphere. Why not 5 stars? Only thing was the toilet was a little underwhelming. Clean, but lol didn't flush terribly well. But no big deal. Will be back.

We popped in for a coffee just prior to viewing a house near by. The tea rooms are not large but make good use of their space and have created a warm intimate atmosphere. We glanced at huge menu and couldn't leave without trying their toasted sandwiches - they looked that good on the menu and we were not disappointed. The bread was fresh and the fillings ample and vibrant. We had of course been seduced by the lure of the good and we're running out of time. The staff said no problem we can wrap them to go or take them back behind the counter and re heat them when you get back - no worries.
You knew you were somewhere where both service and the customer where valued.
If we buy the house they just secured a regular that's for sure!

Oh dear. I so want to like this charming little tea room, but I can't. Third visit..... same poor service as if getting us some mustard was a a chore. Then the food turned up - could have done better at home...... £7 for an omelette, no garnish, no salad with it. £5.50 tuna melt, no option of bread. Lack lustre, so sorry - perhaps the staff could smile a bit. I think most of the good reviews here are from friends and family, quite a cliquey little village. Won't be visiting again. Wish you well but won't be spending another penny with you.

Pretty Charing village houses this cracking tearoom - initially it seemed to be packed to the rafters with locals of all ages and sizes but as first time visitors we were made so welcome by both the lovely staff and all the local customers that we had a whale of a time, joining in cross tearoom chat and feeling really cosseted. But the food is the thing.....everything homemade to the highest standard, daily specials well worth trying, portions generous and prices reasonable. Someone in that kitchen sure knows how to bake a cake!! Do visit - you won't regret it.

I discovered this little gem after a long walk in the local countryside and my delight was only matched by the variety of odd chairs, cushions and doilies. Both the food and atmosphere were absolute marvellous and I would recommend it to anyone. I eventually settled on the Pilgrim's Breakfast which was centred around a Welsh rarebit and a pot of delicious earl grey tea. Both were a taste sensation! A special mention should also go to the maître d' who had the perfect blend of charm and organisational nous!

An absolute must visit when in the area and highly worth a visit if not!
