The staff within the Premier Inn are very friendly and helpful and there is plenty of free parking. The room that we had (19) was very quiet and on the back of the hotel away from the road which was good. However it was one of the smallest rooms we have had in a Premier Inn and in desparate need of repair with large cracks in the ceiling above the bed. There was also a very strange smell within the room and with hindsight we should have complained about it. I am guessing from all the other reviews that our room was uniquely bad. However, we also had problems at the adjoining Table Table restaurant who initially refused to take one of their vouchers - evenutually they agreed they had been wrong but we are still waiting for an apology. In the end we decided to leave early. We use Premier Inn a lot and rarely have any real complaints however this one falls far short of the mark.

Room Tip: Avoid Room 19

We stayed 4 days at this Premier Inn.
I took the advice of tripadvisor reviewers and asked for an upstairs room at the back of the hotel, not facing the road.
This turned out to be very sound advice as it is the quietest Premier Inn we have ever stayed in...and we've stayed in a good few.
The staff were excellent, very helpful and available, once again they're up there with the best.
The attatched restaurant is TableTable. We have been to a few of these in the past and the menu has always been good and varied.
Not now,I'm afraid. It seems to be biased towards the junk end,ie,burgers, chips and more chips with everything.
It may be that they are trying to attract a certain clientele,ie,families with kids who want to eat out cheaply. This is fine but it drives away other diners who don't want to eat chips and be surrounded by harassed parents and unruly kids bashing their spoons on the table like Heavy Metal drummers.
That being said it's not the fault of the staff and on the one occasion we ate there they were excellent.

Room Tip: If you want peace and quiet go for an upstairs room NOT facing the road

My family and I went for a short break to this Premiere inn as it was a short distance to Cheddar and Weston super mare. The hotel was a great place to stay, clean and spacious room, good food at the onsite pub and good service too. highly recommend.

Decor-wise this is a rather tired Premier Inn and lacking air conditioning which I think is essential although it was not hot and we were at the back away from road so fortunately not a particular issue for us. The heating is controlled by an AC type controller which initially fooled me until I read the very small print instructions. I turned heater on expecting air conditioning. The hotel is comfortable enough and restaurant facilities are good. Overall only average I'm afraid.

Room Tip: Book a room at the back away from road

We used this as a base to visit friends and family in the area. Hotel is located in a nice part of the countryside and has plenty of parking space. Staff were very friendly and the room was the usual Premier standard. Quite large and with all the normal facilities. Bed was very comfortable and side lighting was good enough to allow reading in bed. Air conditioning was a bit noisy so we turned it off but on a hot night it could be a problem. Hotel lays back from the road and you are practically past it before you see it. There are no signs on the roadside. Meals are obtained in the Table Table restaurant adjoining called Hobbs Boat Inn (see seperate review). As an alternative for breakfast try Ollies Cafe which is about 5 miles along the road towards Highbridge.(See seperate review). For dinner try the carvery at Brent House restaurant which is near Ollies. I thought at just over £70 per night this hotel was slightly on the expensive side but again the room was fine and everything worked so can`t complain. We would use it again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room upstairs facing the front for good view of the countryside.
