“Stunning Kasbah in a breathtaking location!”
Reviewed May 21, 2012

We stayed at Kasbah Itran for 2 nights during our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and the hospitality continued throughout our stay. The kasbah is positioned overlooking a desert oasis, the sounds of the birds and the view over a ruined castle-like building was very atmospheric. We took a walk in the oasis on one of the days and we spotted a Hoopie bird and a turtle! The kasbah is beautifully arranged with little terraces and secluded seating areas to sit and watch the sun set and the moon rise! The team of staff were so lovely and made us feel so at home! Thank you!!

My family stayed here for four nights in April 2012. All the superlatives of the other reviews are true, to which I can add "imaginative"--whoever designed this inn with all its cozy nooks and private viewpoints had a wonderful sense of the romantic. It's too bad so many people stop for just one night. The local oasis (a short hike below) is something you need to stick around and explore, and the quiet, newly constructed road north to Izmil/Souq el Arba has incredible delights for those who make the time for it. Finally, this review would not be complete without a word about the staff--nowhere have I encountered a more genuine, warm, honest, and low-key group of hoteliers. One tip: they were so low key they not only didn't try to upsell me on anything, they didn't even mention some of the excellent and reasonable services they offer (such as midnight airport pickups in Ouarzazate). So you have to ASK if you think you might be interested in something.

Room Tip: The bathrooms are cute but basic. I'd recommend taking a room with a private bath, since the sh...

We stayed 1 night in the kasbah Itran on the 25th of march '12. We arrived there late, wet from the rain without a reservation and they just had 2 rooms free. The welcome was so warm at the fire with the mint tea. After the tea a nice 3 courses meal, all prepared very tastefull. The kasbah Itran is so beautifull, all with little corners and nice rooms. The views from the terasses are spectacular. The breakfast was gorgeous, the best we had on our 12 day trip. The berber staff are very friendly and helpfull. Thanks Omar and all the others for the nice stay. We surely go back there and stay a bit longer. Itran is so special and unique.
