Charming hotel 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. Stayed here for 5 nights in June and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Lovely freshly cooked breakfast in the morning served by the pool got our days off to a great start. Beautifully restored old building built in 1871 in a lovely location just outside the centre of town. We had a downstairs room which was more than adequate for our needs. Would thoroughly recommend staying here. The only negative was the wifi - very slow at times.

Room tip: Front rooms have nice views of the water but can sometimes be a bit noisy due to passing 'revellers'.

Absolutely the highlight of our trip to Greece. Economou mansion is beautiful from the moment we walked into our room with the most beautiful window overlooking the beautifully blue Mediterranean we loved it. The staff are amazing, the breakfasts delicious, overall the service is just super. Even something simple like ordering a glass of wine and a beer by the pool was special with a plate of cheeses, meats, tomato and crackers served with it. Beautiful island, beautiful home cannot rate it highly enough.

Economou Mansion is for those who like small hotels with that little extra. The 19th century stone building is right by the sea, has the old Greece athmosphere combined with great and simple comfort. It has only six rooms, so make sure to book early. The breakfasts in the sun by the pool are fantastic, served with great attention on beautifully laid out tables. The rooms are spacious, some with sea view and others with a small garden patio. There are many restaurants within five minutes walk.

We stayed at Economou Mansion for 3 nights in early September. Beautiful old building on the waterfront, a very easy 5 minute stroll to all the main part of town where there was lots of dining and shopping options. Delicious breakfasts served by the pool in the morning. Garden room was clean and spacious (apart from the bathroom, which was small but functional). Our friends had the waterfront room which was delightful. We would definitely recommend. It was a little out of the main area so not too noisy. We arrived early and were allowed to leave bags and use the pool, shower room etc which was great. Spetses was a lovely island, thoroughly enjoyed our few days. We hired e-bikes from just along the waterfront and explored the area which was a fantastic way to look around.

Room tip: Go for the waterfront rooms

What an amazing place that I would certainly recommend. We had a downstairs room, which was spacious, clean and well presented. The breakfast was freshly cooked daily, not like the normal run of the mill breakfast. I can definitely say in all the places I have travelled this provides the most sumptuous food and the best breakfast I have tasted. It's located just outside of town, so you can eat in nearby tavernas if not always wanting to walk into town. A 10minute walk you arrive at Kaiki beach if wanting a day to relax. Whilst there it was the islands anniversary so saw a spectacular show to celebrate this date.

The staff are very friendly and will help you any way possible.

I am shocked to see one person rated this place as terrible. It is far from it and we had an excellent stay and would revisit.

Room tip: Any rooms are recommended
