“Family friendly condos”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

We just spent the last week here and have enjoyed every moment. its central location to the Island allows you to explore the North for a day and then the South the next. Tippy's restaurant and The Beach House down the road are both great locations, excellent food and friendly service. Breakfast at Bucaneers club is a must (my wife swears by the bullybeef hash). Friday night is Fish Fry night at Cupids Cay is a good into to the area. We took a few hours to walk (with our 3 yr old) through the Levy Preserve which sit right next door to Pineapple Fields - what a beautiful and educational side trip. We also took the opportunity to explore and enjoy the many deserted beaches - Lighthouse Beach (SUV needed), French Leave and Preachers Cave Beach were favorites although the beach in front of Pineapple Fields/ Tippy's restaurant is equally as unspolit and secluded.
Would definitely stay here again for its location, clean rooms and comfortable beds (excluding the pullout!!). Having the ability to cater for yourself if you want makes it that much more enjoyable. We will be back.

Room Tip: Stay in Building 1 or 2 as they are a bit closer to ocean.

There is a downside to staying at Pineapple Fields. My husband and I have stayed there numerous times – and recommended friends and family to stay there too. We admit to being picky – hey, it’s our vacation. I could go on and on about how consistently clean and comfortable everything is, how the full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make a great meal (for those of us sickies who actually enjoy cooking while on vacation), and the added bonus of daily housekeeping service (I didn’t say I wanted to clean), how friendly and accommodating the staff is, how the 2 outdoor decks on every unit allow you to have morning coffee in the sun as well as a cocktail in an afternoon of shade, how you can be private if you want to, or get social and go to the lovely pool, how the lush, colorful natural landscaping makes you feel like you actually made it to the tropics, how it’s centrally located in the middle of the island so you can easily explore either end. Plus a real bonus: the best, most delicious restaurant is right across the street with a bartender who can put you in a good mood quick and sing like a star on Saturday nights. All this on the most beautiful soft sand beach on a fascinating island surrounded by stunning blue water like you have never seen before. But here's the biggie downside: having to leave.

Room Tip: All the rooms are basically the same. Bldgs 1 and 2 are a little closer to the water, but not much...

We arrived at Pineapple Fields at might, picked up our room key at "Tippy's Restaurant", which gave a hint of the warm informal reception that would guide our stay...

The 1 bedroom unit was clean, with up-to-date applances and amenities from the kitchen to the reading light near the bed...

The pink and beach is par excellence... just a gift of location before a cup of coffee early the next morning... find your way to Pineapple Fileds in Governor's Harbour, Eleuthera and you will always return!

Pineapple Fields is simply the best for an authentic and charming Bahamian vacation
experience. The very friendly and helpful staff; always go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The grounds are immaculate and beautifully landscaped and the rooms are tastefully decorated with all of the amenities you would want in a home away from home. One of the most beautiful pink and white powdery sand beaches you will find anywhere is just a stone’s throw away running for miles along the crystal clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. Tippy’s Restaurant and Bar is conveniently located right on the beach, across from the resort, offering a delicious native menu, refreshing tropical beverages and great local entertainment.

My wife and I arrived at Plantation Fields around 7:45am after missing connections on our flights to Eleuthera. No one at the office until 9:00am according to the sign. However, the lady who runs the deli out of the back of the office showed up a little after 8:00am (She bakes her own croissants, etc.) & got us keys to our unit. Units and grounds are pleasant and generally well maintained. Staff is friendly and helpful if you want information. Unfortunately, one of the TVs and one of the air conditioning units (There are 2 of each in the units) did not work in our unit. Since we were only there 3 days and spent most of our time elsewhere, we did not suffer or complain. However, if the TV & AC had worked plus a little better job on exterior maintenance (i.e exterior stair steps needed painting) we could have rated the resort excellent.
A word of caution for first time visitors to Eleuthera staying at Pine Apple Fields, get someone to drive you there. Our car rental person drove us there from the airport in our rental car which worked well.
In summary, we would stay at Pine Apple Fields again. We liked it.

Stayed for a week and did not want to come back to the daily grind of work. Loved staying at pineapple fields and eating at tippy everyday. Will definitely go back asap. The rooms were comfortable and loved being the only one on the beach. If anyone wants to be alone on the beach this is the place to be

Pineapple Fields is a beautiful little slice of paradise. While over the years the resort has aged it has done so gracefully. Sure some of the deck/stair maintenance hasn't exactly been done by a skilled craftsman (maybe someone should give them a circular chop saw as a gift...) but everything works and the incredibly absorbing landscaping more than makes up for any, minor, blemish.
The pool is cozy and welcoming, the prefect place to unwind after walking on the beach. It offers a good mix of shade and sun.
Tippy's is a decent eatery with a good chef that could be great if emphasis was placed on the freshness of local ingredients instead of a bloated menu selection. The pizza prices should be dropped as well and kept only as an option for kids. Smaller/better menu please. Drinks remain world class however, better than most mainland eateries.

Room Tip: All the rooms are great. The top floor rooms offer a better view (though you'll be going to the...
