I was expecting it to be mobbed, and hard to see things (like at the museums, even the displays where you have to book a timeslot!) but it wasn't. We really appreciated the way the number of visitors is controlled, they haven't been greedy and sold lots of tickets at the expense of visitor experience. Where there were interactive screens, etc, there were enough so you didn't have to wait ages for your turn, and you could get a chance to take photos of your group in front of things without others in the way.

It's not really a "tour" as such, more of a museum. But there is so much to see and read (maybe not that great for really little kids unless they know the films well) and my group of young teens was very enthralled by everything.

It felt like Disneyland, everything was so clean and the staff so professional and slick. There is a "greenscreen video experience" where you can take part with no compulsion to buy the results (we didn't want the DVD but you could buy photos, which were lovely and no dearer than at theme parks etc) - DON'T WEAR GREEN CLOTHES (my daughter did!).

We were told the cafe was expensive and not good but it was nice (and you could sit at the tables and eat your own food) and there is a Starbucks counter (drinks only, I think?).

There is a lot to buy in the shop, very expensive - probably a good idea to agree an absolute ceiling amount of money to spend. Even a fridge magnet is £4, and a pen that looks like a wand is £11.

The tour itself was absolutely amazing. I'm not biggest Harry Potter fan but I found myself taking in every single bit of detail.

As others have said the prices for drinks, food and souvenirs are extortionate. That was the only let down with this place.

Other than that, and without giving too much away it's well worth a visit.

Well worth a visit, especially if you have seen all or some of the films. Better than we expected and a lot of interesting facts about film-making. We spent over 4 hours there which didn't seem like that at the time so make sure you allow plenty of time.

This is an absolute must visit if you are a fan of Harry Potter! It is well worth the entrance fee. A fantastic insight into the making of the movies and much more. Hogwarts and Diagon Alley are jaw dropping! Loved the green room and finding out how the Qudditch matches were filmed! Yes the gift shop is expensive but everything is beautifully made and crafted. Plenty of time to walk round and take in everything, i would definitely pay it a second visit!
