Had a very pleasant night here with attentive service and nice food.
The waiting staff were very attentive without being overly intrusive on the conversation etc.
Our group had a wide selection of dishes and walked away satisfied with most of them, if a little disappointed with one of two choices.
For entree we had a meze selection with haloumi, escargot, kingfish ceviche & pork belly.
The escargot were delicious but the haloumi was a little undercooked and lacked a little seasoning for my liking.
For mains we had cracked pepper pappardelle, penne arrabbiatta & seafood risotto.
The arrabbiatta and risotto were apparently excellent but the pappardelle was a bit disappointing - lacking seasoning and, for one of us, being slightly cold.
Desserts were excellent - two of my companions elected to have the jaffa cake, one couldn't fit any more food in and I had the fig and date pudding which was absolutely delicious. I would recommend this to anyone.
We were the last to leave the restaurant and were definitely given the impression they wanted us to leave as they started to pack away all the tables while we were still finishing off our drinks. That said, they were not rude and did not try to rush us out but were obviously keen to close up, and who can blame them after a long night.
The price was very good considering the service and food and I would happily dine there again but perhaps with a request for a little more seasoning on a couple of dishes.

The food and the service is very average & overrated and very over priced for what you get.

We arrived for brunch & we were disappointed on several counts:- food was cold when served; the menu choice was very different to the menu that is advertised online; and the service was poor with very little care about our questions. For example we went there for their caramalised banana to be told it's basic banana with caramel poured over it.

Not a lot to say other than less than average overall and very over priced. If you want to pay these prices, best you go elsewhere where (at least) the ambiance & service is well worth that price.

Could do with a vast improvement in all areas.

You can understand why people come back to this place again and again. It is full of locals whom the staff actually know by name and they always seem to share a friendly chat even with passers-by. We stayed for a week at nearby apartments and this was a place recommended by our receptionist. We came for a first dinner, were impressed by the speedy service even though they were absolutely fully packed. The food was delicious and they didn't even mind to prepare a gluten free pasta for my little boy even though it wasn't on their menu.
Hence, we came for several breakfasts after that, an odd late lunch and yes, even our anniversary dinner. Loved the place, it's atmosphere, the friendly staff and the lively buzz. Will definitely go again if I'm in the neighborhood.
Keep it up, guys.
