Have just spent 8 days at this beautiful park- myself and 2 children and a friend and her 3 children. We stayed in a lagoon unit together, which is poolside- stunning! Beautifully clean and stylish accomodation, 2 bedrooom, main bedroom with queen bed and spa ensuite and 2 nd bedroom queen bed and bunk beds. Main bedroom had its own flat screen tv. 2 lovely bathrooms and lovely well stocked with utensils kitchen , lounge dining area. Decking out the front with table n chairs and BBQ, great spot to sip a wine or two whilst watching kids in the pool. Pool was beautiful and well maintained, very long with an indoor pool at the end. Fantastic games room, indoor and outdoor tennis, gym which is under construction, huge jumping pillow and small playground. Beautifully maintained grounds and very close to Marion shopping centre and aquatic centre, 10 mins from Glenelg and 15 mins from the city. Even though at capacity when we were there never felt crowded or noisy, even on a 43 degrees day the pool wasnt over crowded. Doesnt feel like you are in the city, you will notice lots of ambulance sirens due to close proximity to Flindes Medical, police station and ambulance station but you get used to them...
Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Reception area had basic neccessities but plenty of supermarkets close by, takeaway deliveries etc. Overall great stay- we have stayed here a few times and always have a fab time..
The park is still being renovated in places and some new 2 story lagoon units are on the way...
.

Room Tip: Poolside in warmer months for sure, though units facing the creek are quite and shady BUT if you hav...

We stayed on a powered site on our trip to WA, after arriving and setting up, we decided it was so nice we wanted to extend our stay, unfortunately, we couldn't as it was booked out. The grounds and facilities where immaculate, the site they had us on was a little tricky to get onto, so the they had a groundsman follow us down and assist us. The play ground for the kids was great, and the pools awesome, kept my kids occupied for hours. We will definitely be staying there for a few days on our return trip for a couple of days. Excellent value for money.

Although they are obviously still renovating parts of the park our experience at the Marion Holiday Park was faultless.
We stayed for a week in a poolside "Lagoon" unit. The newish accommodation was very upmarket, practical and well priced for what it offers.
The staff at the front counter were helpful at all times. The shop stocks a practical rangte of odd "long life" items and of course alcohol. The pool is a very long pool with a great variety of depth for little ones and adults.
The unit we stayed in was a total surprise. Very swish but practical and affordable for a family. Our deck overlooked the pool and we used the bbq every night.
What else can I say.... "We'll be back"

Whoops hang one .... Tomizone wireless was very, very slow and nearly useless.... I knew I'd fins a fault if I tried hard enough

Room Tip: Indulge yourself and take a poolside unit

We stayed in a 2 bedroom lagoon view villa, which was brand new with excellent amenities. Two bathrooms, full kitchen, wide screen tele and best of all a whole jar of ground coffee waiting in the fridge!
Very comfortable beds and lounge area. The park has a whole range of accommodations from tent sites to these great villas. We were travelling with a large group and made good use of the undercover kitchen/dining area to all get together.
Very handy to McLaren Vale, the South Coast and only 15 minutes from the city.

Room Tip: Choose the newer and posher lagoon view units.

Our party of 5 (2 couples and a child) stayed in a Lagoon Unit for 3 nights.
The unit was very clean, impeccably styled and very luxurious. We had 2 bedrooms - the main had a queen bed & ensuite whilst the 2nd had a queen bed and 2-bunk bed (I think I must have missed that when making my on-line booking because the room configuration was a surprise). There was no air-con/heating in the 2nd bedroom so it was quite cold. Other than that though, the unit was superb and we loved the private entry to the lagoon pool.
The lagoon pool itself was very pretty, especially with the night-time lighting. It would be perfect in warmer weather. The ducks also loved it and unfortunately they created quite a bit of a mess both inside and outside the pool. I did jump in for a swim and had to navigate around some 'mess' which was a bit off-putting.The undercover heated pool was well maintained but it's only a small pool. We all loved the jumping pillow - even the adults had a bit of a play :).
This place meets the standard of any Big4 holiday park - great facilities and perfect for families. Great location with a Westfield Shopping Centre close by and several good restaurants.
All in all, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommended it.

We stayed for three nights with our two boys and had a wonderful time. There are plenty of facilities for the kids, but it was hard to drag them away from the heated pool. The park is close and convenient to the city and it's attractions, but with the trees and gardens, it felt quiet and peaceful. Next time we're back in Adelaide, this will be our pick for sure!

PARK GROUNDS:- there's only space for about 14 vans in middle grass strip bordered by cabins & units. While it was only 1/2 full for most of our week long stay during term time, the weekend was almost full & it felt quite crowded. Grounds are lovely though, and lots of trees, birdlife and ducks almost block out the traffic noise and create a nice ambience.
FACILITIES:- The two pools are great. One heated and undercover - semi indoor and the adjacent pool is a cold 30m lap pool, lovely to lounge by with a good book. Nearby tennis courts, playground & jumping pillow are great too.
Keep in mind there's only one toilet block for campers.. Fairly nice & clean  with good water pressure, but only 5 showers, so get in quick during busy times. A kids bath is handy for washing young kids.. Or grubby feet.
TRAFFIC & AIR NOISE:- yes, you'll hear it, but we got used to it after the 3rd morning. From the sound of other reviews, other holiday parks close to Adelaide are the same, but nowhere nice as Marion, so make use of pools & nice surrounds & stay here.
TRAFFIC & DRIVING:- if you've been staying in small towns or bush locations, remember this is suburban Adelaide. There are no major freeways so all the roads are packed most hours of the day.. Lots of shops & services everywhere, but slow getting anywhere.
LOCAL KIDS ACTIVITIES RECOMMENDATIONS:- that are cheap & fun.. SA Museum, Carrick Hill Estate (free - do the kids storybook hunt); Drive-in movies ($22 per car); Beach House at Glenelg is ok if you set an early price limit or just go in for mini golf, as we did. An icecream  (Royal Copenhagen nearby is THE best!!) & walk along the beach & pier can top off the outing nicely.
