Upon arrival, the customer service from the staff was friendly and everything about Portobello was explained to me(room details, location map, check out and key return if I was leaving early, pool etc).I had a relaxing stay after 4 days but managed to find that takeaways, cafe's, IGA and BWS right downstairs and the surf lifesaving club close by and beach was just across the road. I had a one bed apartment with a pull out sofa on the third floor.
The apartment was neat and clean upon arrival, it has a well equiped full kitchen,a new dishwasher and a small laundry in a closet. The single room had a queen bed, access to the small balcony and was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean but needs a bath and to be refurbished.I had to keep the bathroom doors closed sometimes as there was a foul odour from the shower and floor wastes.I forgot to mention this at checkout but all appartments wastes should be cleaned and monitored by management due to the turnover of guests.
There is a small balcony that is great for alfresco dining looking into the garden/pool area. The pool area was nice with the lounges and chairs.I would stay again.
Thanks Portobello

While the one bedroom apartment was not oozing modern style, it was roomy, comfortable and clean. There was so much space for just me, so for a couple, it would be perfect - particularly the 2 person spa at the bottom of the shower!

The complex itself is large and full of people so expect some noise from the neighbours (note there is a balcony curfew which is helpful for early sleepers). Despite being on the top floor, there were heavy footsteps and furniture scraping noises for a majority of the stay.

For night times, the TV has Foxtel to enjoy and a big cosy bed. Large sliding doors, optional air con and fans make the temperature easily adjustable.

Location-wise - right near the water. Moffat beach is a couple of blocks away - go there for a great meal and excellent coffee @ the Pocket Espresso Bar.

Overall, pleasant and ideally located for relaxation.

Room Tip: The lift doesn't go all the way to the top floor on the south side of the building so there might be accessibility issues.

Located at Ricky’s beach approx 90 mins drive from brisbane’s cbd is a lovely holiday apartments. The staff were very friendly and helpful.great tips for dining options. The apartment ( we had a 1 bedroom suite) was spacious, clean and well equipped. Bed was super comfortable. The Accom comes with a beautiful pool area which was stunning with lovely plants and catered for all ages. The beach is located right across the road and is just beautiful. The beach is patrolled and safe for the whole family.
Will stay again.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have access to lift

Good location at Dicky Beach. Found we spent most days swimming at currimundi, as the water was perfect and ideal for young families.

The resort itself was clean basic accommodation, but don’t expect much in the way of facilities. The resort is in need of an upgrade as it does seem old and tired. Also, keep in mind - no air con in the bedrooms as well as an uncomfortable bed. We did however enjoy the Foxtel and the pool, if and when it wasn’t full of people (however it was a busy time of year).

I feel the resort would have been so much better with friendlier management. They were not helpful from as soon as we arrived. They may have had other things on their mind, but no excuse when a customer is in front of you.

Stayed at the Portobello by the Sea for four nights recently in Appt 57.. WOW!
Clean, tidy, spacious, great view, great position above the pool away from the road
noise, in extremely comfortable big ed and our friends on the Double pull Out also slept comfortably. the four of us had a great time. I will come back here for sure!

Room Tip: This particular unit #57 is EXTREMELY quiet, night and day. Lots of extras, fully equipped, spa etc
