“A Little Run Down”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 12, 2012

I stayed here for one night as part of a group tour and have to say that it was the most run down of the hotels we stayed in during our travels. The lobby and other public areas are well kept. The room we had in block 5, however, was small and run down. For one thing, the walls looked as though they had started to repaint it, but never finished. There were numerous water stains on the ceiling in the room and bathroom. The buffet dinner needed some meat dishes. Even some discernable chicken would have been a treat. At the breakfast buffet, we found orange juice that looked and tasted like Tang. (Didn't know they still made that!). Everywhere else in Turkey we had delightful fresh juices, fruits, vegetables, etc. This place totally missed the mark. The only bright spot I can talk about is the thermal pools, which were great especially welcome after sitting in a bus for 12 hours to get there. I'm just glad we were only here for one night.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel, rooms are small but comfortable. We enjoyed swim in thermal swimming pool and also it was real experience to see hot thermal reddish yellow water continuously coming out . Food was ok and too crowded dinner place where you have to self serve.

Room Tip: choose room with view to thermal spring

I stayed in this hotel as part of a group tour.

I enjoyed the spa treatments at this hotel. The service in it was outstanding.

The buffets were good. The hotel was busy (unlike many of the other ones I stayed at during my tour).

The rooms were small and clean. They had the necessities.

We were on a 2 and a half week independent trip through Turkey, staying at good but not luxury hotels. Because of a tip from some other travelers whom we met in a different part of the country, we looked for this place. It turned out to be a nice break for us for a two night stay because: 1) it was more of a luxury hotel then we had been staying at; 2) two meals per day were included in the price, which I think was a reasonable deal at about $135 per night; and 3) it was unusual to have the thermal pools right on the property, in which you could soak and relax after a day of site seeing. I should warn people who are looking for authentic Turkey (which we were with this exception) that this is more of a low cost version of something you might get in Vegas and caters almost entirely to tour busses of people that they bring in for a night. But as independent travelers in a rented car, we figured they will probably have a few stray rooms available, and it really worked out well for us. We dropped in with our rented car and got two nights, and had a great time. While there, you can easily see Hieropolis and the travertines of Pamukkale, and the ruins of Laodicea are about 20 minutes away. Room was nice, clean, new, good sized, and they have a special spigot in the tub that brings in the hot thermal waters. Also you have use of their beautiful pool and the outdoor springs, which have different levels of thermal waters of varying temperatures. They also have a spa with various extras that you can buy. My girlfriend got a reasonable deal on this treatment where fish work on your feet. I think it's crazy of them but they charge 2 TL for wi-fi, which I refused to do given all of the hotels throughout the country that are providing it for free. Food was decent. Again, for something a bit out of the ordinary, we found it a treat.

We arrived very late at this hotel as part of a tour. I found this hotel to be pretty average.
It has a nice pool area with the thermal baths.
The rooms were a bit on the small side and a bit noisy. The rooms were clean however.
The buffet tea was only average, had better elsewhere in Turkey.
Breakfast was only average as well.
The hotel served its purpose as a stopover, but I think there would be better in the area.

A nice place to stay for a trip to Pamukkale. The pools and lobby were very nice and seemed pretty new. The rooms are a bit outdated, but we enjoyed the hotel overall. The thermal pools are what makes the hotel worth staying at. Plus you can get thermal water in your room by drawing water in the bath from the special gold faucet. The food was nothing special and the place was overrun by tour groups at night, but a very good place to stay for the thermal pool aspect.

Billed as a 5* hotel, but its not. The public areas are beautiful, but the rooms are tired and need refurbishment. There are many blocks here, so its finding the right one. Our room was on the ground floor. It was adequate for the 2 nights we stayed her on on the tour. However, we were in block 4 near the pool and this is where there was the entertainment both nights. One night was a belly dancer, which gave us no chance of an early night with hoops and hollers from the pool. The fire door beside our room was wedged open permanently - a health and safety issue as well as a security one. Dinner and breakfast was on a buffet basis. There was plenty of choice, although some of the desserts were rather lurid colours. Our group was in a small private room, which made it much quieter than the huge main dining hall. However, attracting the waiters attention for drinks was harder. The location was ideal for walking into the village and seeing what a small Turkish town was like. It wasn't far by coach to Hierapolis, Laodicia and Pammulke. There didn't seem to be many alternatives the tour company could have used.

Room Tip: Avoid a block too close to the pool entertainment area, e.g. blocks 4 or 5
