“What a fantastic hotel”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

Ibooked this hotel for my wifes 60 th birthday and what a great holiday it was .From arrival to deparure we were looked after first class ,nothing was to much trouble the staff were all very freindly always smileing .The hotel was always clean as the cleaners were constantly sweeping and tidying up. What i would say is do not book if you are not wanting a peaceful holiday as you are in a very quiet beautiful tranquil cove which you dont want to leave.

Room Tip: higher floors are quieter.get a sea view room as the view is fantastic

Just back from a week at this wonderful hotel. All staff were friendly and cheerful at all times, and we were shown to our room by a porter when we arrived. The room and hotel were clean at all times. The food - well, simply fantastic. Great choices for all meals with a variety of different theme nights for evening meal - even included samples of local drinks for aperitifs. The hotel is very isolated and not suitable for exploring, however there is a local bus (actually air conditioned coach) that runs from just outside the hotel into Corfu Town when you will have 5 hours to explore before catching the return bus. The fare is 2.20 Euros each way. The pool is great with plenty of sun loungers, and you can walk striaght on to the beach (which also has loungers). The main downside for me was the quality of the evening entertainment which was mixed to say the least. We had Greek dancing, 3 tenors, 3 singers/dancers and a magic show which were good, however those evenings organised by hotel staff were simply dire (male guest night and guest dancing on stage). Despite this, I would thoroughly recommend the hotel, it gets 5 stars from me in most areas

Arrived here at this lovely clean modern hotel travelling in May from Gatwick in May, group of 4 adults.... Couldn't of wished for more helpful friendly staff!! Shown up to our room by porter who took time to show us around the room, chatted and made us feel welcome.
Wondering around the hotel we noticed everywhere was immaculate and staff attending to every little thing from waiters, bar staff to cleaners.
Plenty of sun loungers and the feeling of space at all times of day which was a bonus.
If you suffer from mobility problems or have baby/young tot this hotel has a lot of steps, especially around the pool area and beach. There is only 2 lifts which could be a problem if suffer from mobility problems.
The hotel itself is based at the base of a steep mountain in the middle of nowhere, very very isolated.! 40 minutes from Corfu airport the coach took us through countryside and derelict buildings!! Got a bit worrying the more you saw the crumbling buildings!!! If you are looking for a quiet hotel based holiday this hotel is perfect but if you are like us and would like to explore the country a bit more and take in culture it will cost approx €35 into Corfu town.
The food choice was excellent, cooked well and presented perfectly. On site Asian restaurant is available once a week.

Dear guest,

We thank you for founding some time to write your review about the Lti Louis Grand on the internet.

We are pleased to hear that you found our staff friendly, and that they made you feel welcome, moreover that you notice their attentiveness to small details to make your holiday as pleasant as possible. It is a delight that our food catered for your tastes, and you enjoyed our authentic Asian Restaurant Mura. It saddens us that our hotel's location had a big influence on your experience in Corfu. If you consider to revisit Corfu we propose the Louis Kerkyra Golf, which is only 5 km away from Corfu town. If you decide to explore other Greek islands, Louis Hotels manages several properties there as well, for example the Louis Zante Beach in Zakynthos, the Louis Colossos Beach in Rhodes, which might better suit your needs.

We will be glad to welcome you again at one of our Louis Hotels.

Sincerely yours,

The Management.

Just back from a week in this hotel. Right on the beach beautful. The staff are excellent, the food delicious plentiful and varied. Our room was great loads of storage space which made a change from other hotels. The only downside is the isolation, there is nowhere to walk to. However if a relaxing beach holiday or pool holiday is what you crave this is the place for you.
My only complaint is that there was no free wi-fi which was a bit of a let down. Nowadays it's something that should be addressed in this hotel the €5 for 90 minutes on lin they charged was much too expensive in my view.

Me and my family stayed at this hotel week commencing 3rd May 2013 the first set of guests to arrive with first choice / thompson.
From arrival to departue this hotel was first class! All the staff work very hard and nothing is never to much trouble for them.

The food choice is huge, perfectly cooked and presented very nicely from breakfast, lunch and dinner. Once a week all inclusive guests can use the asian restaurant i would strongle recomend people to use it as it was fab a lovely break from the main buffett.

The main hotel bar is lovely decorated and the staff do waiter service for drinks which is a nice change. The pool bar again provided some lovely cocktails and drinks.

The rooms have been recently decorated to a very modern standard, they bring a fresh bottle of water to your room daily and on arrival their is nice bottle of complimentry red wine a added bonus.

Overall it would be very hard to find fault with this hotel as I had the most fantastic relaxing weeks holiday. I will be back again next years.

Spent a week here in May 2012, it was fantastic. Only let down was we had booked (and paid for) a sea view room however we were on the side of the hotel overlooking the bins. When I spoke to reception they pointed out that we could in fact see the sea but as I still insisted we were transferred rooms. Food is great and all of the staff were pleasent. We werent told before we left however that man had to were trousers for evening meal but this was not the hotels fault. When we spoke to the hotel staff they said my boyfriends long shorts were ok however we went in for dinner and there were loads of people in shorts..!! There is not much to do in the immediate area but the hotel organised taxis for us to go out and about. Overall had a great time and would deinitely go back.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the front of the building and quite high up. Away from the noise of the restaurant...

Me and my girlfriend visited this hotel in June 2012 and we had the best week of our lives. The hotel was beautiful, located a stones throw away from the gorgeous Glyfada beach.

We decided not to pay extra for a sea view room, so we were overlooking the car park at the back of the hotel. But we hardly spent any time in our room so that didnt bother us. But when you were around the pool or enjoying a nice meal, the view was incredible.

The staff we excellent in every way. They were beyond helpful and incredibly efficient. The bar staff were friendly and chatty, which made the whole experience much more pleasant. The restuarant waiters were attentive but not pushy in any way. Everyone seemed to enjoy their job and it created a nice atmosphere. You always felt that you could ask anything and they would be happy to help you.

We were all inclusive, so we ate most of our meals at the hotel. The food was excellent. There was always a huge variety of dishes at every meal. I'm not usually adventurous with food, but found the buffet style dining a great way to experience new dishes. A lot of which were superb. At breakfast there would be the usual continental options, a variety of cooked dishes from bacon, sausages and eggs to waffles and pancakes. There was always something new to try. But also had a selection of trusty favourites like pizza and chicken nuggets for those less adventurous. Although there was a different theme of food every night, they always supplied a huge selection so that you could find something you'd enjoy. You also got to book one night in the separate asian restuarant as part of the all inclusive package. The food ranged from sushi to chinese noodles and rice. It was very nice.

The drinks at the beachside bar were also excellent all day. They were quite small, but as it was all inclusive, you could just keep refilling them. Personally, I enjoyed their cocktails, but also found their refreshing iced coffees a perfect way to start the day.

The only downside to the hotel is that it is very isolated. But we knew this before we went, and didnt mind as we knew travel would be provided for excursions. We took a trip by taxi to the local village of Pelekas. It's a quiet area with a few unique shops and cakes. A nice way to explore rural Corfu. We also visiting the local waterpark which was an excellent day out. Lots of fun!

We spent a day of Theo's boat, which leaves from Corfu Town. It was a very long day, but the best of our holiday. It was incredible relaxing and a great way to see the beautiful island. We also got to swim in the deep sea. Enjoy a gorgeous boat barbecue. And visit another nearby island for a look around and a shop.

Towards the end of our holiday, we took a daytrip to Corfu Town. Which is about 45 minutes to an hour away. It's a very unique place when you make your way to the small lanes. A great place to buy unique souvenirs. Most of which were quite cheap too.

Overall our holiday was amazing. Couldn't have wished for a better week away. Especially with the sun shining at about 35 degrees all week. Would love to go back some time in the future, after I've explored more of the world.

Room Tip: Lower floors have less A/C noise. Noisier if you have a sea view. You can ejoy the sea view for no...
