Review of El San Juan Casino - CLOSED

El San Juan Casino
Attraction details

The El San Juan Casino had all the action of a Las Vegas casino but on a much smaller scale. The staff were very friendly and responsive. The adjacent lobby had a great bar with music and dancing on weekends in the evenings. The table games were very busy on weekends but there were plenty of slots available,

Yes it's true Mr Cashman (Slots) and I are an item !!!!
I spent many a happy yet stressful time at the El San Jaun Casino. We were staying at a hotel next door and would drift over to this casino after dinner each night during our vacation. There is music, bars, places to sit and watch the world go by and there's an all around lively vibe.

Stayed here 1 night after 3 nights at the Inter-Continental. The El San Juan is a bigger property than the IC, has a nicer casino, great night life and a casual rooftop restaurant that has very good food. With all of that being said, I actually preferred the Inter-Continental because it just had more of a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. T-shirts and shorts are not allowed in the lobby level restaurants at the El San Juan after 7pm but casual dress is allowed at Jimmy's BBQ restaurant on the rooftop. Jimmy's has a mechanical bull, good food/music and a great view. The rooms are decorated with the color white. White tile floors, white furniture, clear lamps and a white ceiling fan. The inside rooms have a worse than average view. Out in the distance you can see the water, but mostly the view is of rusty HVAC ductwork on the lower rooftops. The large lobby bar area is the place to be at night. Great music and atmosphere.

Very nice to take a little visit to. Walked down from the Intercontinental -it was a little larger and more open.
